Chasing spring kokanee fishing in Alouette lake BC Tips, tricks & strategies on how to find kokanee.

Hello fellow fishing addicts!
It is spring with a mild temperature of 15 degrees celsius and partly cloudy the whole day.
5 kokanee and 4 trout is the limit per person and all bull trout must be released back in the water as per fishing synopsis in region 2 (see link on regulations in links section)
Also noted that there is no vessels in swimming areas, as buoyed and signed; speed restriction (8 km/h) at south end of lake, south of a line drawn from the BC Parks
boat ramp to signs on the east side of the lake.
This lake is one of my close to home, go to lakes to visit in the lower mainland. It's a blast for a family trip on the beach with a bbq , fishing for pan fry sized kokanee, trout and even a few surprising species, camping, watersports and so on.
Alouette lake is located in Golden ears provincial park and has many amenities for everyone to enjoy including 2 outhouses right at the boat launch and ample parking available.
FISHING METHOD
Today I show many methods of fishing for kokanee. How to target them on the surface and how to target them in the deep. I tried to show as many handling tips as I could so please keep a close eye for the pop ups; pause if you have to. Good vid. I've had my doubts about Alouette lake kokanee, so it's good to know they've been caught recently. I've been out at Kawkawa the past few weekends.

Kawkawa has been my go to for years. Just tired of driving so far away and since I upgraded the boat kawkawa isn't scenic enough for me. One throttle and ur on the other side 😅lol So for a change I wanted to try Alouette lake. Pulled up the biggest bully too! Next episode will be that. Join my fb fishing group. Also they are improving Alouette lake. Fishery personnel has been there collecting samples from.anglers catches collect data of the quality. They're adding fertilizer nitrogen and phosphorous and what not. So that's a good sign. It be nice not to shell out so much gas money just to get decent fishing in.

I wouldn't even mind paying a gate fee if the funds would directly to improvement of that lake. Hard to beat the constant filtering of water by hydro operations tho. That must drain the lakes nutrient content. Hard to say the right balance but I have heard of the same situation in the states but their fishery is great. So I wonder how we can follow suite.

I would love that! I dislike fishing alone. Always better with company. I also think fishing vids are better when they have banter not just talking to me myself and I lol. Hey BBTV. Take if from a local, in a boat like that don’t fish alone at alouette. It’s not the lake it’s the launch buddy, the place is notorious for having your gear taken out of your boat while your doing the ridiculous hike up the parking lot. Take it from me, I know. Always, always leave someone at the boat. It would be awesome for this front country park develop a parking lot that doesn’t take mountaineering skills to access.
