Raisina Dialogue 2022: India at 75 has evolved as a significant global actor with commensurate expectations from the world regarding its choices, actions, and its dynamic evolution. From responding to climate change and humanitarian crises, to global peace and security, to technology and digital frontiers, India’s actions will shape the 21st century world.
This panel seeks to engage with the roads India has travelled, and the pathways that lie ahead. What will shape India’s decisions for the future? What is driving global expectations from a resolute India that is increasingly focused on creating favourable outcomes for its people and the world? How will India’s transformation contribute to global well-being?

One thing for sure. Once they bring down China . They will come after Indian. This type of colonial mindset of the anglosaxon never changes. They are using India for their own purpose but India is also using them for India's benefit/ purpose. Colonist ideas never changes. They want to label China as aggressors but refuse to acknowledge how they destroy Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya as a pact of devil called NATO and the five eyes. I hope India will see through their lies.

Glad to hear open discussion on global politics. How come EU and the West taking so long to do FTA business with India despite their liking for democracy. Whereas, it took no time in sharing their business with China the so called autocratic government. It poses serious question of what is the world is all about behind close doors and in the media. I guess its all about power, and there no power without controlling wealth of the planet. All other rights like of humans and animals and plants were farcical thing. Indians are ingrained to respect rights of all forms of lives but we are classed as snake charmers, superstitious, backwards and uncivilised. Really! Great going team Modi ji

ORF must improve the voice and video quality. These talks are so important and engaging. Suggestions : voice input directly from sound system, multiple video camera angles simultaneously, subtitles, video Timelines on KZbin, video description etc. It currently just looks like a half hearted attempt of recording and simply uploading. Good job though, but definitely a scope for improvement.

Both India & China are civilizational states and not nation-states they have been coinhabiting the world peacefully for centuries till the west introduced the concept of Nation-states. Till the 18th century, they were the two largest economies in the world and they never fought with each other. The western domination of the world resources in the last 300 years has been an aberration and all aberrations come to an end.

Very true…but how else could the panelists defend their position?Their argument is flawed when they say it’s only a domestic social commentary on conservatives. For the number of times they invoke the present government and PM,the adjectives they use and specifically who writes for them and what about are not harmless, naive assessments.I think in reality the NYT / WP speaks for themselves and thankfully Indians are waking up to the rhetoric.

Indian society is diverse and that diversity brings with it serious faultlines . To cement a country within a modern democratic framework with these faults lines is extremely difficult allowing the various disruptive forces that misuse the freedoms to rcploit their agenda at the cost of national unity. Further these disruptive forces are pumped up and primed by foreign entities to weaken India’s national unity.. Thus in internal security matters The western measures of rule of law dies not apply. Theirs are relatively homogeneous societies and the disruptive forces could be mainly immigration related of only one kind ( a recent phenomenon after 9/11) and therefore more easily identified, tracked and eliminated. Similar elimination actions are criticised when India does ut. Often there are hidden agendas that are played out to satisfy western domestic politics. The US and the UK are the best examples.
