Chasing Trains: The Midland Pullman

The Torbay Riviera Pullman ran from Hull to Paignton and return on 1st April 2024. (Easter Monday).
The Midland Pullman (operated by Locomotive Services Ltd) aims to recreate the luxurious brand of travel made famous by the original service of this name, and numerous rail tours take place around the UK each year.
A refurbished HST (Intercity 125 or Class 43) operates the services, grandly carrying the famous Nanking Blue livery made famous by the iconic Blue Pullman trains of the 1960s.
I get to see the service pass through Worcestershire Parkway and Bromsgrove.

Yes, they still look the business after over 30 years in service - especially when disguised as a Blue Pullman!!

Lovely looking train. But even with the luxury I don’t know that I’d want to do Hull to Paignton and back again in a day 😮

A lovely looking train! 🚈 I can see it better than in the short. I mistaken it for a new train but it's actually a refurbished one from the 1960s! 🤣

Yes, it’s a pain that shorts have to be portrait orientation and normal videos landscape - makes filming things very challenging to try and get it to work in both!! You only get one shot at a train 😂 (and just as you think you’ve got it cracked, some wally stands right in front of you just as it passes..)
