What a beautiful and picturesque area! I would probably have enjoyed it if I were in my 20’s or 30’s. My adventurous days are long over! And that bridge.. forget it. I would have said see ya back at home base!😂 you were very brave, Cathryn!

Thanks, Mary Ann! We really love it there. Wonder how much we’d explore if we actually moved there. There are lovely places in KY, as well, but we rarely leave the house. Go figure. We need to be better about getting out in our own area. There’s just something about being away from home that brings out our adventurous sides :)

100% - You gotta walk over that bridge! Cool looking place. Love the music, and great cinematography! Ozone falls, never heard of it, but that is really, really cool. The falls are beautiful. Wet rocks are unforgiving, and unfortunately many people have met there demise by not heeding to precautions. This place has made my bucket list! So cool. OMG! Remind me to never play board games with Cathryn. I have longed to go to Cumberland State Park...many Frontiersman like Davey Crockett have been all over that land. Oh yes.....New York Strip is my favorite cut of steak! Oh my goodness....love this song, as you well know! Gorgeous cinematography! I love this scene of you struggling to get across the bridge, but I am also very proud of you! Oh, I guess I would do it....😃 I am completely jealous that I was not with you guys on this trip! (Payback from Chris for the boardgame!) You are in some Squatchy territory!! "I am not an outdoorsy type." - I would have never guessed!!! On another note: I love, love, love this video!! "You know men, they just don't look at them." 🤣😂 Oh wow! Fall Creek Falls! This place is so gorgeous. Your music choices were so awesome. That is a very rocky area....and amazing!! I want to move to Las Vegas, so I can be closer to all the Western Parks. This is my absolute favorite of all your videos. Beautifully done!

Fairfield Glade is amazing! We stay at Club Wyndham at Fairfield Glade. Such a great little area. We especially love the Food City grocery store and the smallest Kroger in the (world?). People are very friendly all around town. We don’t love the speed limit on the main road, but we’re never in a rush on vacation anyway, so no biggie. And, there’s definitely a shortage of decent restaurants - we only eat out on vacation, so this wouldn’t affect us day to day. We would love to move there. @TheMidlifeRide2 жыл бұрын
Up is always easier than down. There was one area at a turn that only had a flat rock by a tree. The rock was too smooth to get any traction so we actually had to hold the tree while we passed, so as not to fall off. I also tweaked my knee stepping on the jagged rocks. We had footage from the way back but the video was already so long so he just ended it there.

@@TheMidlifeRide True, the restaurant scene is not world class but the benefits of Crossville far outweigh that. Positives: very low property taxes; close to Nashville/Knoxville/Chattanooga if you want the buzz of bigger cities, but far enough away to live without the big city madness; gorgeous scenery (as you noted); a church on every corner; four seasons but nothing too extreme; low prices for most goods and services; super friendly folks whom truly want to lend a hand if needed; yes - pockets of poverty and drug use - just like everywhere else; outdoor sports and venues abound; easy access to the rest of the Eastern and Southern US - I40 and I65 will take you anywhere pretty quickly; opportunities for meaningful volunteering very accessible; great golfing, water sports, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing are all around us; Nashville entertainment is an hour and a half away.
