As we have yet to visit only three of the falls on your site, Burgess Falls, Rock Island and Fall Creek Falls, I have to say that Burgess Falls is our go to place to relax. We live about three hours west of Cookeville so making it to some of the others is still something we want to do. We got to Rock Island late in the day and didn't get to see a lot. We also visited Fall Creek Falls and weren't impressed because the water flow was limited then. Still want to go back to these three again, as well as Cummins Falls. Great videos of all the falls...Thanks...

You forgot to mention Lost Creek Falls which is about 3.5 miles west of Virgin Falls. It is pretty incredible. You should probably mention Laurel Falls on the north side of Savage Gulf. It's entrance is just off of the road about 7 miles north of the entrance to the Greeter Falls and Boardcreek Falls entrance. Piney Falls in Grandview, TN which is about 2 hours and 15 minutes from Nashville is definitely worth a mention. There are some smaller waterfalls worth mentioning in Middle Tennessee. 1. Cul-car-mac Falls which is east of Smithville. 2. Machine Falls which is in between Manchester and Tullahoma. It is just southwest of Rutledge Falls. 3. Waterloo Falls which is about 10 miles northeast of Cummins Falls. It is off of Waterloo Rd not far from the HWY 136.

I went to Cummins over the weekend and it was amazing.. My only complaint was the huge amounts of people that crowded the area by 11am and the amount of trash people were throwing down. I feel like social media has helped many people discover great new places to explore, but it also attracts lots of kids that could careless about being respectful.

A repeated theme in this video; an hour and a half from Nashville. Thats why this Nashville native lives on the Cumberland Plateau! My farm backs up to Colditz Cove SNA which has beautiful Northrup Falls as it's center-point. A moderate 25 minute hike out my back door and I am under the falls! Started hiking to most of these other falls in the late 70's as a student at Tennessee Tech.

My interests in these places are because of genealogy ties to the area. I have never lived there, except in Millington briefly when I was a little girl. Enjoy the falls but please be careful you don't fall ! When I visited Ozone falls a man had fallen and they were bringing him up on a stretcher. I helped carry him out. He was alive the last time I saw him. I don't know if he made it or not. I know of at least one person who died when they slipped into the stream above Fall Creek falls.

While Cummins Falls does have relatively easy access for the overlook, you will need a permit to hike into the gorge to get to base and the swimming hole. A great waterfall to piggyback with Cummins is Waterloo Falls at the Waterloo Venue and Event Center on Spring Creek.

Thanks for posting this vid. I enjoyed it, especially the report on Rutledge Falls (which I had not seen). Your description of Fall Creek Falls was generous. Even after a major rain, it doesn't look all that great. The 256' drop is way out of proportion to the narrow stream of water. The other falls in Fall Creek Falls State Park (Piney Falls & Cane Creek Falls) are more picturesque.

I've been to nearly all of these, minus Foster and Rutledge, which I plan on visiting soon. Virgin Falls is DEFINITELY difficult, if you want to do the whole thing I recommend camping so that you can enjoy it without it being so strenuous. Greeter and Ozone are probably my favorites, because they are less crowded and beautiful. Cummins is great but extremely crowded in the summer. Same with Fall Creek. I have taken my dog (golden retriever) on nearly all of these, but not all were easy. I can't get him down the spiral stair case at Greeter to the base of the falls and have to stay up top which is a bummer.

You can actually see about 6 in one day. You will have to start really early and it’s a ton of driving. You should start with Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, Twin Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Ozone Falls, and finish out the day at Greeter Falls.

To find the waterfalls like this go early in the morning and on a weekday. Our preferred day is on a Wednesday.

GREAT VIDEO! Do you know how many of these waterfalls and trails are dog friendly? I know that there's only 2 trails dogs can go on in the Great Smokey Mts. National Park, but it seems like everywhere else they just say keep your dog on a leash. Is that right?

Many many of them are 100% dog friendly. I honestly can't think of any that aren't. You are correct about the leashes!

Cummins falls - Easily accessible waterfalls? By no means, this is close to a 2.5 mile hike to and fro, with 0.6 or probably more into the river itself with knee to waist height water, completely slippery if you want to get to the base of the falls. Have done it couple of times so just setting the expectations right will help.
