CHASING WATERFALLS at our 5th stop - Skjolden, NORWAY. 🇳🇴 Carnival Pride cruise ship brings us to beautiful Olden, Norway This is day 7 of a $230 9 day Norwegian Fjord Cruise.🇳🇴
We walk off the ship for our first time in Skjolden and our 5th stop in Norway. As usual we have no concrete plans so we head for the information booth on the pier. After several days of walking up hill we decide to keep it simple today. We walk off the pier and head to the small town ahead of us. From there we decide to try to make it to a waterfall only 4 KM away. Without knowing a real challenge lay ahead of me! Another amazing Day in this beautiful country followed by a beautiful sail alway.

Nowhere in the world is it possible to travel this far inland by boat. Skjolden is 205 kilometers from the sea. I live nearby, in the same municipality as Skjolden. Only one fjord in the world is longer than the Sognefjord and that fjord is in Greenland, but it is impossible to travel there because of icebergs. Very nice video from the Sognefjord!
