That’s the most impressive collection of boards for sale, probably in the world? The lost board worked great plus looked to me had the best waves when testing. Looked very fast responsive. Noticed making that section burying the rail, in that fast pocket on the Pyzel…… Mason’s barrel stoked! I’d take any of these 3!

What a great idea! I've started building my own boards, and though I'm nowhere near Pyzel or Bilios at shaping, or anywhere close to pro at riding, completing that feedback loop of board design to how it works in the water in different conditions has really added a lot to my surfing experience. Very cool for you! I had not heard of Real Watersports before. Last year I went to look at my local shops for a wetsuit and I was amazed that three surf shops near me had very few boards, very few wetsuits, and a ton of beach clothes, shoes, and hats. I think this year I'll make a trip to Real just to see it and pick up a few things in person. Thanks!

I would love to see you on a slater designs cymatic or sci-fi because I’ve had a cymatic for a couple years and I would love to see you try something unique like that. I think you looked best on Pyzel Ghost with the "lazy" front foot drive going into those rail turns. I think you are feeling that rocker curve which is different and the magic. I would like to see you work down the on the Ghost family which would be working with the same rocker curve with changes for smaller surf, then work on the Lost Driver series going down from the Driver. Thanks. And no one is having more fun that your son.

I feel like pyzel fin boxes are a little further up the board so when you stomp on the tail, it pivots a tad bit quicker. Maybe why it feels looser on the back foot. Also since the rail lines are a little more parallel with the ghost so it carries a lot more speed and drive when planting and pumping. Might be why it feels more locked in. Overall stoked to see ya expanding the quiver, you got the lost and pyzel dialed in 🤙

Brett, Really exited for you on your new endeavors! That would be every surfer’s dream to be able to ride whatever you want! Awesome! I personally ride JS Industries boards. I can recommend you to try their Xero model on either PU or Hyfi 2.0. I think you’ll do well on the 5’7” - 25L or 5’8” 25.5L. Also from JS Industries, try their Sub-Xero - summer series board. That I guess you can try it on 5’2” - 24.5L if you go for the Hyfi 2.0 or if you go for PU try the 5’3” - 25.6L. Epoxy will float more - like .5L so don’t be hesitant to try a smaller size. Last but not least, try their Black Baron EPS Twin Fin. That one you can try it on 5’3”. Cheers!

I think the Ghost feels loose because it has decent double concave all the way till under the front foot, so it rolls rail to rail super smooth. However, with the rocker apex pushed forward, the board has a tiny lag in turning as you lean rail to rail. This in combination with the nice pin tail gives insane stability and hold. I personally love this feeling and believe that it helps get your center of gravity in the right spot for carving.

I would love to see you ride some FireWire Tomo designs, just to see your take on some less than standard shapes. I really like the Evo and the Cymatic. As for the best board from your new quiver...the driver looked the best underyour feet, although that might have been influenced by the wave quality.

Would like to see your take on FireWire tomo boards. Cool tech and tomo uses some crazy concave designs. The evo and cymatic are both interesting. Tomo also has the hydronaut barrel board and the hydro short but I think FireWire stopped making them but I know real could pull some.

Natural Art... :) Styro epoxy.. smaller side fins if it is a little wider and knock some edge off the bottom near the tail. The ..lost driver looked best, the first one. Everything else needed some tuning or just wasn't going to work. I wrote this before you talked about it, and I just went by what I saw in that first session. Stick with the styro, the board will be TOTALLY different made with polyester foam.

I look more solid on the lost. I should try pyzel new high line model or the shadow, these are all around boards. U can check the new mini ghost, which is the grovlerry side of the ghost.

Love the mix up if you get the opportunity try a your standard short board wider than you normally would. I rode one of crosby’s old board and it was 19 in wide which I was very hesitant about ended up loving the way it felt haven’t ordered a board not 19 in wide sense. Although locally my waves are more burgery so 19 may be to wide.
