I am so happy you came to London and went to Borough Market - its one of my all time favourite markets - I usually come into London a few times a year in the summer to go to the market - now my office has moved within walking distance its going to be hard on my wallet!! One thing I thought was really great about the market is I was talking to one of the workers on one of the Oyster Bars in the market and he said that because they had been there so long the Trust that runs the market paid the salary of one person to man the shop during covid (for the days they were allowed to open) - and quite a few stalls remained open because of this but of course there were security making sure people queued and remained socially distanced. :-) I think you only saw half the market though - you mentioned it was small but its really massive and is sectioned off in 3 parts - so you have to come back!! - Try some specialist coffee, some aged balsamic or some cheeses, in the summer you can usually find a venison or hog roast - one stall has a blue cheese that's been matured in wine and grapes/berries - if you like blue cheese its amazing!!

Oh gosh, lucky you working so close 😍 I feel so gutted knowing we probably missed a lot of it- definitely a reason to return 😍 It had such a lovely feel about it and we ate so well on our visit. How wonderful that the Trust looked after the stall holders during what must have been such a stressful time. It would have been devastating to see shops close because of COVID. I think I could spend days not looking at the food stalls but at the shops! I would love to see what condiments, teas an other food stuff they sell that you probably would have difficulty finding in any ordinary shop or store! Love Borough Market vlogs, I just sit here and drool!

You guys know how much I love oysters... it’s 7am here and I’m salivating Nice to know about the order to eat those. I found that the oysters here in the US are very nice but they get richer in flavor the smaller they are. And the origin also makes a huge difference. The ones on the up north states like Maine or even Alaska, are saltier and have more sea flavor

Got me instantly excited. 😂 *_Borough Market_* is a must visit indeed! I had oysters while there but can’t confirm if I went to the same stall but I recall that they were nice. *_Fantastic start to the new series._* People who have never been love to joke about how bad the food is but they could not be more wrong. First time to Borough Market, eh? I haven't done any research in years but will never forget that the original market was open for 500 years and then re-established in the early 1700s. So even the *_"newer"_* version is decades older that the U.S. Ha! I'm quite sure I've mentioned a time or two that when a market, resto or pub is super old or original, I'm visiting no matter what. You can double up on the chorizo. I have only had them when the bread was freshly toasted & found it to be an excellent sandwich. The doughnuts on the other hand I found to be disappointingly tasteless. Go figure.
