Love you guys made it to ABILENE!! My town! I think they have a great set-up and display! Love the vintage! However, my personal experience has not been “half comps” or anything the such. The guys haven’t been willing to price the cards I asked about even remotely near comps. They said they can’t make that decision only the owner can. Fair enough but as a local, and a card enthusiast, I have yet to spend a penny. Hope that opinion of mine can be changed in the future cuz the store looks awesome!

You gotta figure those prices where somewhat discussed before hand or maybe slightly agreed upon for the show. You don't drive around this great state of Texas otherwise. 😉 That being said Iam in San Angelo and didn't know that store was in Abilene. If only the store owner can move of whatever is stickered then I probably won't make that drive.

A cool collection for you to go check out would be this guy in Virginia who just bought a guys sports card collection with an estimated 20 million cards. He’s also has bats, baseballs, catchers gear and other memorabilia all purchased from a guy who collected from 1950-2016. He wants to open his collection up to public view so they can enjoy the nostalgia as much as he does so I’m sure he would be welcoming.

AUCTION! I auction all as well. More than going for under the last 3 avg., i sell for over avg. Im pretty happy just seeing cards sell, especially since it takes me so long to get my product listed since im still active duty. But when i hang these boots up baby....its full time listing. These collections blow my mind. It’s gotta be incredible to have people walk in to your store, and offer up a handful of Mickey Mantles, Hank Aarons, etc. I’m not impressed with new cards whatsoever, but the vintage is spectacular.

On Ebay auctions are better priced 40% of the time. I do most of my buying fixed price with some negotiation unless it's really well priced.

Auctions for buying. Fixed price at selling. The market isn't the few people who bid on the last 'like' card you're selling. That was the market at that time when those few people happened to be there to snipe bids at the end of the auction for that 7 day period. If I'm trying to buy on a sweet deal, I'm searching for auctions without much attention or I'm looking for fixed prices with offers available. I don't mind working out a deal with a seller that works for the both of us.

I mostly buy from auctions. 99 cent starting prices, like 4 Sharp Corners, or Probstein. Most fixed price stuff is 2-3 times comps, then they know 5% off like they are doing you some kind of big favor.
