At 7:00 talking about transmissions you didn’t mention that the N-line can be spec’d with a 6 speed manual as an alternative to the DCT. Also the base i30 and the i30N of course can be had as a manual for those who enjoy a more engaging drive. It’s a very sweet box.

I purchased the i30 MY21 three weeks ago.. my previous car was a i30 MY14.. I’m still getting used to where things are and still have some features to work out as it was a contactless purchase with no test drive. Not sure I’d recommend that as I think I would have gone for the elite model as I would love to have had blind assist.. I’m still very happy with my new car! It has plenty of new features..
@awm82212 жыл бұрын
It is very odd that Hyundai did not provide blind spot assist on the Active as well. A mid range should at least feature this important safety feature. I had a mid range Mazda Maxx 2018 model and it came with blind spot. Hyundai are a bit scabby with their inclusions

Great review. Went and checked this one out today, along with the n line premium hatch and the standard sedan. Have to say the sedan does look better in person but it really annoys me still about the premium’s front end. Not waiting to be disappointed by the full N so went and enquired about the Golf GTI TCR... now that I’m impressed with.

Surely wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is so cheap to implement now??
@Clove_Parma4 жыл бұрын
Apple charges licensing fees and makes car companies buy the wireless module from them. Because of that, and a captive market it’s remained higher cost than other changes. That said, there are cheap companies bringing out cars with it now, so it’s getting hard to justify the omission.

Hyundai are lost with design, a long time ago they had the excel and it sold like hotcakes due to it being cheap and cheerful but then they re-designed it so much it lost it's appeal, then they came out with 2013 i30 and it was great again and people went back to Hyundai as the car of choice. the 2016 Elantra was a hot looking car, still looks great today on the road but then they killed it with the 2019 triangle headlights version, I don't think they sold very many of those! the i30 went all boring and granny looking too, yawn! now they are splitting it all up with the sedan going way off tap and the hatch only gets a new grill that is kind of just more of the same. Why, if they call a car an i30 would it not look the same across its models? The Fastback, the sedan, the wagon and the hatch should all look like the same cars with the variation being the type of car then buying one would feel more like a belonging to a well branded family of cars not be left wondering if you made the right choice cause the other models look so different. oh and while I'm here why in gods name can't you just option a manual or an auto gear box for any variation? I want to buy the i30 sedan N line premium with a manual gear box but I can't. I have to feel like I miss out on extra stuff cause I want to be more engaged when I drive a car! punished for doing it right! bad choice Hyundai!!!!!

and even then, the 1.5 eTSI in the new Golf is more refined than the 2.0 in the Corolla. Yes probably less reliable, but it is buttery smooth and super quiet. On Highway trips 5.5 liter/100km is normal as well. Peak torque (250Nm) way down as well for effortless driving. I can use my toe and still move along with traffic.
