When are you reviewing the Maserati sedans?
@meekacumen2 жыл бұрын
Straight after watching this review I went to my closest Mazda dealer for a test drive. I found the following: -poor build quality -no 360 degree camera -no memory seat function -no heads up display -rear tray cover only opens by opening the tray door. -no driving Modes -cup holders under front vents removed -laggy infotainment system -so many alarm noises -menu systems are not easy to navigate -not all windows are auto -fog lights look cheap -key fob is huge -expensive Positives: Excellent ride Comfortable seats Looks good Steering wheel is comfortable Roomy rear seats Large infotainment screen Very responsive Digital speedometer 2 tone interior is very nice No stock, so not going to play the dealers game of ordering and paying full price, dealer could not give accurate wait time for delivery, non negotiable price I’m going to wait. Your review was excellent
@53glowe2 жыл бұрын
I'm okay with your opinion...but with a few caveats. What dual cab has drivers memory feature, heads up display and auto down on all windows. Alarms can turned off. No driving modes I'm confused by...as I believe as a 4x4 it must have. Otherwise I'm fine with what you've said.

Looks ok and with the different colours of the interior it is a good move away from all black or grey that we usually get in everything here. The only problem is the price. All vehicles are getting expensive but hitting $70k on the road is too much IMO.
@kulsss242 жыл бұрын
Pricing is getting ridiculous, everyone is buying using finance, long gone are cash days.
@Klistern22 жыл бұрын
Exactly! They released these things for 67 auto, but soon upped the price to match competition. Mistake. I would have bought one of these in a second if they had retained that price. Now they want 67 for an xtr with a tray... Just seems that your money goes nowhere in Aus these days, we might think we're earning ok, but inflation is fing crazy right now. The house and car market are big enough indicators of this, let a lone fuel and groceries.

I love the review but it is missing something, such as “build Quilty check”. Other KZbinrs/car reviewers always does that so we can see how good that build Quilty is and it would be amazing to see you guys doing the same thing.

You can trust the building quality from Isuzu’s factory.
@chasingcars2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I will have a good think about how we can do this properly - but at the moment, my answer is that's why we have a long term program where we put 10,000km *hard* kilometres of driving (including gravel, corrugations, etc) on multiple vehicles for six months at a time.
@53glowe2 жыл бұрын
Other KZbinrs confine the 'build quality test' to a shaking of the centre console and the thunk of door closures...hardly comprehensive in any context. To me...build quality must involve panel fit, paint finish, upholstery finish and the rattle and squeak factor driving over corrugations 🙂

I couldn’t justify getting a new Ute currently (unless I was in desperate need of one) with the new ranger launching this year. It appears to be above the current utes on the market by a large portion.

I've had mine as a daily driver since september,here in S.Island NZ. I have clocked 35,000kms and apart from a great engine,pretty disappointed in it to be honest. I use it as it was designed,I am a partner in a relatively big agri contracting business,so it is off road daily,towing a 2200l fuel tanker and all my tools for daily running. Ground clearance is way too low and i have already dented and ripped plastic off the front end. I am sick of the driver interference nonsense,constantly having to switch it off after stopping the engine up to 25 times a day is painful. The roads are pretty poor and as a result I quite often avoid potholes,but unless i indicate it violently corrects the steering,which is f☆☆☆☆☆g dangerous. On the ranger there is a button on the stalk to swith the PC driving aids off. I wish I had waited for a wildtrak to be honest.

Looked about and the SP seems to suit, offers more of the newest features the likes of Ranger / Hilux / Navara are lacking . Any advice ?

Looks are better than the previous version which had no updates for 10 years. So now they are basically a nicer finished 22year old car as is the Isuzu, not saying its a bad car but the running gear and chassis are still pretty much the same as a 1999 Colorado, and the vehicle still cuts out traction control when the rear locker is engaged, other makers Toyota etc give you the option. I would really expect a lower price point for old tech no matter how much you make the interior nicer.

At 3:23, We always measured milage as miles per gallon. Kilometres per litre is a metric equivalent. We buy litres of fuel, not hundreds of kilometres. Why do motoring commenters support the confusing litres per hundred kilometres system of measurement? I believe it was introduced to confuse motorists. Add in 4c off prices and nobody can do the maths of what the fuel cost really is. The price is so high we don't measure the litres, we just look at the total bill in dollars. We tap and pay so we don't see the dollars coming out of the wallet. BP and Shell are doing well. I would always choose Miles per gallon, and these days kilometres per litre.

@@marklittlely2151 yea I live on the Gold Coast aswell. I wasn’t impressed with Mazda sales in Southport for a few reasons so I phoned up Tweed and they were great and very relaxed. The manager was a legend and let me and the Mrs take the demo out for over an hour. I can’t remember the sales guy I spoke to but he has abit of an accent, short dark hair. Ask to take the car solo and if you decide to go ahead add some extras. My value with extras with the SP was up to $72k and then I said I’m also looking at the Wildtrak which is $66k with some of the extras I added. Ended up getting it for $67k and arrives mid March which is ideal as I need it before the EOFTY. Definitely worth calling up and asking for the solo test drive

Maybe I'm getting old, but why marketing decided that fuel economy should be expressed as a complex fraction is beyond me. I'm not sure what could be simpler than distance/quantity ie mpg. Some glossy brochure bollox that unfortunately stuck. I'll be leaving it in km/l. If it arrives, once we've decided on tray liner /lid /canopy/other things.
