I cut hexagons out of my magazines to do my patchwork. It is called English paper piecing and I do all sewing by hand. Newspaper I use to make paper pots into which I sow seeds in Spring and I can plant pot and seedling in the garden with no mess and no waste. I don't get magazines but once a year I road trip it to the States for the holidays and at the pit stops I grab the travel guilds that they have there. Just got this idea this time around because of you. So next year, I'm going to grab them from the two States I go to. You can use any paper... just use plastic wrap, (like Saran Wrap),...that comes on a roll. Sandwich it between your papers, and iron it, just like she does it here. The plastic wrap will work the same way as the plastic on the freezer paper!!

It's always good to have a few cards and envelopes on hand - you never know when you'll need one! Pro tip: you can always pre-make your cards the way I showed, but don't affix your sentiment right away. Pre-make a few sentiments like "happy birthday", "thinking of you" or "get well soon" and keep them with your cards. This way, when you need a special card - all you have to do is glue on your sentiment to the front. Quick and easy! Happy crafting! 🤗🌺

This was very, very nice. I like the pace of your video, there was enough talking without lagging on too long on one thing. Some channels drag on too long on each and every thing as if gluing or punching a hole was a complicated technique. new subscriber - i have enjoyed your last few videos - thank you - have you ever fused papers together using plastic wrap? like Saran Wrap - you place down coffee dyed paper first - then plastic wrap and then decorative paper of your choice - wrapping paper - tissue paper - magazine page etc - another fun way to do this xx

Where you cannot get this plastic coated paper can can simply put plastic food wrap between paper, or serviette backs, and your magazine page to get the same effect. The plastic is the ‘glue’ and the paper is the ‘stiffener’. I hope this helps. 😊
