"English is difficult but Japanese is more difficult." Miko would definitely agree.
@Bubu5672 жыл бұрын
English is purely phonetic on paper, so that makes writing easier in english, but I don't know if I would agree it is harder to speak. Maybe it's harder to speak without an accent, but I am not so sure about that. Japanese is more strict with the rules with fewer exceptions. I think english is harder to speak fluently because of all the exceptions.
@gokbay30572 жыл бұрын
English isn't entirely phonetic and if Japanese was just in Romaji I think it would really be an easier language than English but learning three whole writing systems (especially Kanji) really increases the difficulty rating of Japanese.
@HitogoroshiCh2 жыл бұрын
overall imho English is harder to master, only hard part of Japanese is kanji.
@marktheshark57332 жыл бұрын
English is easy to learn hard to master. Japanese is Fairly consistent the conjugations is kinda annoying just learning the sheer number of kanji is also kinda annoying but I mean I barley study Japanese and I have a 96% in the class. Probably applying in real world contexts from the top of ur head is the hardest
@DrunkLurker2 жыл бұрын
@@Bubu567 English is not phonetic by any measure. Conversely, Japanese romaji and hiragana/katakana ARE phonetic, but when you start going into kanji it becomes a mess.

She has the syntax pretty much downpat. Its just a matter of expanding her vocabulary. Lots of her long pauses are just her trying to think of the correct word to use but due to her gap in knowledge she has to restart and rephrase in a simpler way. She's basically ready to properly speak english. She just needs exposure to more english.

"Japanese is more difficult." The US State Department has a series of highly intensive courses for government employees to learn the language of countries they'll be moving to. They rate Japanese as the most difficult language for American English speakers to learn. Still English is a very hard language for others to learn, especially since we tend to borrow a lot of words from other languages and keep their form from the original language. As a result English is filled with contradictions on spelling and pronunciation.
