NIMBY is strong in all communities. Every city or town has vacant land that could be used for tiny homes that could be built at low cost. People living on the streets become detached from their town and community when they need supports the most. Breaking up homeless camps breaks up the communities that they have built for fellowship and safety. Housing first for sure and like the one man said a place for those that won't come inside. I worked in a homeless shelter for over 13 years in Canada and have seen it all. Best job I ever had and some of the best people I ever met. There but for the grace of God go I...with COVID anyone could become homeless and the numbers esp in the US are growing.

That’s my mind set bc it’s take a minute to become homeless if all the right ingredients go into someone’s life.

Let’s start a fund to get them into abandoned city offices and take care of shit. Stop turning the opposition into a solution. Get these people city jobs in return for their homes. Use your brains mayors and governors. It’s not complicated. Thank you to all who are using their brains to find solutions. So many people are not taken care of their mental and that is enough reasoning to become homeless bc you’re not using logic any longer. It’s also important to use patience and sensitivity with these people bc some have fried the minds and can’t help their behavior. I’m going in town to see what I’m allowed to do. Thank you for bringing this to all attention. Keep it going. It’s so important. I appreciate your efforts and time.!

With all the empty schools and city owned buildings closed due to Covid 19, too bad they couldn't open them up for these people.

Govt's have to _stop tryin' to externalize risk and cost!_ The result of this is _having to_ absorb risk and cost that you _didn't_ plan for. The solution is to *_PLAN TO INTERNALIZE RISKS AND COSTS!!_* Then everything will be inside the plan!!!

What really bothers me is how the majority of people who watch this are only going to see law enforcement collaborating with the unhoused to ensure they don’t lose their belongings. Which is such a rare method of how they interact with the unhoused. The majority never see the reality of law enforcement-unhoused interactions.

True. This was one, short point in time. Certainly not a complete rendering of the larger story. Thanks so much for watching and commenting Alec. -RR
