The whole Conda thing is just extra. I just use normal virtual environments. I also used python 3.11

Using windows 11 I typed in "cmd" and there was a "Anaconda Prompt" That seems to have solved it for me. @owenooi7135

Can you give them images to use for sprites? I think that if you were able to do such a thing, this could be a serious tool for gamedev! You could make games with almost 0 experience. All you would need to do is to plan how the game would work and have all of the images necessary made. It would also be cool if you could make them create projects using certain tools like unity, and making an editable project that you can use.

Actually you have to use a command to set the Path variables...first locate where your Anaconda installation is located: If you installed under (Just Me) should be the C:\Users\(Yourname)\anaconda3 if not it should be under C:\Program data\anaconda3....so next once you have the path. run this command in command prompt "PATH=%PATH%;C:\Anaconda3;C:\Anaconda3\Scripts\" set the path to the main anaconda folder then set the path to the scripts folder within that directory and it should work!

1. i dont get how to monitor current chatdev is running. i just can see dialogues in terminal, but have no localhost durring the creation. 2. can i just wait until its done or pause and continue or even better pause, test and give feedback and continue / itterate ? 3. can i just create python apps with this ? thanks for any reply to cover my questions , friens :)

nothing is stopping you from using locally hosted AI agents in a similar manner, or taking their code and modifying it for a different api. youd probably end up needing to run open source models on cloud servers so it wouldnt be free unless you already have a lot of VRAM and compute to spare.

Exactly. I suspect it's because OpenAI GPT35 GPT4 are the only model they can easily get their stuff to reliably work with because they've already worked out the prompt engineering required, and therefore it provides more consistently accurate / acceptable responses. Since different models require different prompt formulations to get them to work, I think that when it comes to complex applications like agent generators, it may be that the open source models simply produce too many low quality answers for it to sling together to form an Agent Application that works more or less consistently. My corollary guess is that even with OpenAI models... the results are likely to be like really extremely hit-and-miss. I'm supposing we are only seeing the successes, whereas there's likely (just guessing) a far larger number of fails that we don't see. Swapping out to other models may make Agent Generation somewhat untenable. Just a hunch.

You have 5 dollars of free API compute per account in OpenAI, and one run of ChatDev will cost you 5 - 7 cents, so you can run it ~90 times per free account. Kinda enough for hobbyist purposes, I think.

When I hit ">pip3 install -r requirements.txt" it was working fine until everything turned red... it says "Installing build dependencies ... done" and "Getting requirements to build wheel ... done". But everything below, all the text is red. when I do "$env:OPENAI_API_KEY="your_OpenAI_API_key" I get "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." does this have anything to do with the installation requirements step? because the red text doesn't seem normal. Any help?

UPDATE: Anyone using Windows, or has the same issue as me, I highly recommend using the Anaconda Prompt instead of windows command prompt, everything worked like butter. However new issue, The project has already started, as stated in the feed, but idk how to view my project on the website?? the files are there in the warehouse but "python main.py" doesn't do anything
