Well, damn. Tell us how you really feel. I agree with most of the comments. There's nothing wrong with the architecture, it's some of the interior furnishings/ decorations that are hideously ill matched to the architectural design of the interior. If the home itself is richly designed, the furnishings need to be a bit understated, otherwise it becomes nauseating to look at. A Chateau, in my opinion, is meant to be over the top. The furnishings/decorations however, should compliment the style, not compete with it. I personally love the architectural style.

Still too much white--if you're going all-out on the architectural details, at least use a contrasting color on the walls so the details pop. (And not gray or greige, please--that's the 21st century's equivalent of 'landlord white'.)

Dan Alex Yeh but Louis XIV uses master carpenters, real gold gilding, fine mahogany’s and hard woods, tortoiseshell, timeless artistry, originality, and best of all class. The works of arts that were produced during the rococo and late baroque are some of the most ornate and finest examples of carpentry and joinery, everything in this garish monstrosity of architecture are cheap knock offs made of pressed plywood, cheap velvet, flaking paint and is probably produced in the thousands. There is a huge difference in original masterclass produced works of art and a cheap knock off.

Dan Alex But that’s just a lack of appreciation and understanding for the finer things. I think it’s fairly obvious to differentiate the difference of a molded carving and a hand worked carving. The subtle if not obvious difference in craftsmanship. The two styles are completely different the rococo style almost always wasn’t just a garish decoration, it had everything to do with symmetry, naturalistic beauty, proportion, storytelling etc. the interior of this however is cheaply made, commercial, and is a sad attempt to duplicate the same effect without substance.

I do agree! While the exterior is a very nice re-creation of late XVIIIth century neoclassical architecture the interior is awfully vulgar. These people seem to have an obsession with gold, everything must be covered with gold leaf and the bigger the furniture the better! 🤮🤮🤮

I think the home is beautiful, I personal like a less monochromatic interior, the grounds are lovely, I do like Rococo, so I don't have a problem with the furniture; if it were my house I would give more depth and color to the rooms or made the room in a more Parisian flavor with lovely wall paper.
