Buckingham palace is owned by the crown estates. It is not personally or privately owned. The royal family are charged with maintaining it in cooperation with the state as it is state property. That is why the monarchy has to use public funds to renovate the palace. That is also why King Charles wants once the renovations are complete, he plans to open up more of the palace to the public for longer periods of time. Buckingham palace is a part of the history of Great Britain’s culture. Nearly every tourist that goes to England makes plans to see or tour the palace. It is one of the draws that brings in tourist dollars that supports Britains economy. It is one of the most impressive important palaces in the world. It is like a huge museum of British history.

Buckingham Palace, like Windsor Castle, is owned by the reigning monarch in right of the Crown. This means that Queen owned the palace in her capacity as sovereign and that, unlike those residences which she owned in a personal capacity - like Balmoral and Sandringham - ownership of Buckingham Palace passed automatically to King Charles upon the Queen’s death; she could not have left it to anyone else, even if she had wished to do so.

Love the queens corgis where are they now? Our favourite pet was Corgis um had had two in his life. The 1st Corgi name was our beautiful beloved peaches and out of all the dogs we had peaches was our best girl. My two youngest sisters grew up with her and she also had 10 beautiful corgi pups. Unfortunately our beloved girl passed away 1988 of old age our dad was so heart broken. We never had one. Of her pups we gave each family. Um I think 10years later mum an dad went to a Shelter for dogs to get another corgi that dad was looking in the weekend paper they brought him home an oh my gosh he was A splitting image of peaches his name was Bow he was soooo playful lovely adorable Corgi he followed dad everywhere even car rides but unfortunately he passed away too after Bow dad didn’t want another Corgi it was had for dad so dad got a cat white Persian his name was free we called him grumpy old man like dad 😄😄😄😄😄

You can always tell when something is made by an American! She doesn’t own it the palace is owned by the state! She lived in a small apartment and hated it! She preferred living at Windsor castle

I suppose the King winninh an auction reminded somrone of Rhett Butler winning the right to choose his partner to lead the Virgina Reel. Works for this Southern belle!

Anyone with any ounce of education. Not only about history. But just in general. Knows the difference between the British Crown and The State. While acknowledging all of the property and assets in between.

Over 100 rooms for staff. There must also be a large room for florists. Can you imagine all the janitorial supplies?
