Congratulations to the great work you are doing. I understand the work in front of you since I have restored an Hotel Particulier in Québec City Le Chateau du Faubourg that I’m using as a B&B and after 20 years we are still working on the restauration. You will have all kind of happy and depressing moments but the Château will returned all the efforts by converting them by unforgettable and great moments. Don’t give up, we are following your videos from Canada. Hopefully you are back to France to look after your big, old child. Good luck!

I think you are both wonderful!! I am so happy that you are using the gifts God gave you to restore this chateau and make a place for young people!! God bless you!! I will suggest that you set up a "work away" program where people come and work for room and board. A lot of times you can get skilled workers who know about structural things, electricity etc... Reach out to some of the other chateau owners on you tube! I'm sure they can fill you in! Anyway, I just love what you are doing and I love your attitudes and willingness to follow God's lead!!! Prayers sent your way!!!

To be fair, my observations are that it may seem like even though others are complaining about the costs. They are just trying to paint very realistic views/expectations for those who are thinking of buying one of these architectural gorgeous old properties. And they wouldn't want to live anywhere else even with the expenses. You two are doing an amazing job with this home. And I greatly appreciate your openness when speaking of your faith. Sadly, too many people feel threatened by the SJW and hide their beliefs. God should always be front and center. Your channel is refreshing! Wish they were longer lol. But refreshing. May God continue to Bless you and you continue to be a Blessing to others 🙏

Loving these longer videos 😊 What a fantastic journey to be on. I was thinking the same thing about the work away... Especially if you are going back and forth. You don't need to be 100% up to snuff to have people stay with you. Lots of people are into the process. It would mean things moving along more quickly (not that WE are in any hurry!) and often you can post that you are looking for special skills. It's typically younger twenty somethings that are looking to travel on the cheap but can also be small families and such that are just looking to experience new things. I have a ton of friends who have WOOFERs help on their properties and the response has been overwhelmingly positive! (Praying for you to get back asap!)

Great find, those old post cards and the garden outline. When restored, it will be stunning. The symmetrical garden adds so much more to the chateau and also restoring the square around the building (no grass). No apologies needed for being Canadian. You are both doing a wonderful job and it takes time. The present condition didn't happen overnight so it stands to reason, unless you're a billionaire, that it will take time, research and planning to get to your desired conclusion. It's a process. From your US neighbor.

Oh YES!!! Yes PLEASE!! No doubt you will get SO MANY VIEWS and most likely donations! Everyone loves a good come back and I haven’t seen anyone redo any of the original gardens as of yet on any of the chateau KZbin channels yet. Even if you did a little at a time... maybe you could even have a landscape artist and gardeners teach classes at the chateau in order to have additional people/students come to learn while getting it back to its original state!! That would be a great idea and would be so fun for them to experience and for us to watch from a distance!! I’m so thankful I found your channel so I can live vicariously through you both.
