Back in 1978 when decorating my first Paris apartment, I bought 20 metres of heavy red mixed striped coton for 40 FRANCS ! Around 7 euros for everything ! My ceilings were almost 5 metres high so I needed a lot and I slip covered a single bed as a sofa and upholstered two lovely chairs found in the trash. I was on a tiny budget. One night I found a 40's oak coffee table in the street that went perfectly. There was only really Marché St Pierre and Reine there at the time. I met one of my best friends under the Sacré Coeur, he is a Dutch author now living in Algarve. When I lived in St Germain I would often walk all the way up to Sacré Coeur at night with the dogs, took me over three hours. I would buy tiny religious medals in the shop there and pop them into letters to friends.

Hi, Vivienne ! I truly enjoyed this outing my favorite pastime is visiting brocantes whether I buy anything or not. I could spend hours rummaging through furnishings, paintings and porcelain plates, vases and crystal chandeliers, oh, but I digress. Thank you for sharing. Remember when wearing the tiara place it on the crown of your head preferably with your hair up or even a French twist not on the forehead and the tie up should be in the back of your neck. The Marie Antoinette silk, would make a superb floor length dressing gown. I want it all, it is so beautiful. Your Tiara is lovely, every Chatalaine should own one. Such a great video Vivienne! I love when you get together with your designer and Chateau friends and I was drooling over some of those gorgeous fabrics. I absolutely loved the fabrics that Terry chose for De Lalacelle too, they are so beautiful.
