About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

Terry wanted that mirror just so "we" could gold leaf it 😅. All the bits and pieces made the trip worthwhile. Of course, they are Patrick approved 😊, too. Tracy will never need the gym while you men have her do all the heavy lifting... I think she is marvelous and rarely objects to Terry's whims or requests. She'd be an important part of anyone's dream team 😊.

What a nice getaway albeit short and not relaxing, but a change of scenery is always nice and the pieces you purchased are beautiful. I love the delicate mirror. I’m amazed it wasn’t damaged more after all these years especially the fragile thin pieces that could have easily broken off. Your chateau is the perfect home for these beautiful antiques. ❤

My vote for the dressing table is to put it right across the corner at an angle. It looks graceful that way - perfect for the room and the way dressing tables were and still are often placed. It fits on the fireplace wall, looks stiff and crammed in with no breathing space on both sides. Against the window wall, it looks like, “OK, we found a place for it. And in the corner at a slight angle, it looks as though someone was dusting and forgot to move it back. The real angle choice is, as I said, graceful, a stunning piece of furniture perfectly placed.

Looks like it was a worthy trip, not just for the molds, but for the gorgeous furniture! You have a great eye/eyes! The rug works perfectly too! I also loved watching you guys unload the truck, not in a voyeur way, haha, but that I had a glimpse of Tracy’s house all painted out, just seeing it again reminded me of how new it looks with a new coat! Ooh yeah, and that painted paneled room was genius and artistic and done so very well! Keep up the incredible job everyone, maybe some day I will travel over to see it myself!

@@chateaudelalacelle you should look into the work of a renowned interior architect/designer called Renzo Mongiardino! I had a friend who worked for him on a project to paint a trompe l’oeuil Persian carpet directly onto the wood floor! Incredible!
