When I first started playing with Chat GPT a couple of months ago, I thought I'd ask it for some recipes and a shopping list. It came up with so many recipes that I was overwhelmed, so I asked it to provide the web addresses of the recipes it had chosen. It surprised me by saying that it didn't have access to the web, and that it was creating these recipes based on what it knew about nutrition and what food combinations were tasty.

That's really weird to not let an actual rapper decide if this rap was any good. It really wasn't. Apparently, the scientific standard is to have results interpreted by people who are obviously ignorant of the subject. I know this is not an actual 'experiment' but if it's supposed to show how 'well' chatGPT works, then we haven't learned a thing. How interesting would it be to have an actual rapper, or somebody who knows about all the different aspects of rap and the different styles would break down this artificially generated rap in terms of cadence, use of words, etc? And see how this can be improved? Now it's just a text read out loud forcibly trying to present it as actual rap by adding an awkward cadence with a cringeworthy flow and more or less rhythmical body movements. Interpreted, assessed and evaluated by people who clearly haven't got the slightest clue about what rap actually is and did not find it necessary to consult an actual expert for this. The nonsensical 'rap' the AI produced and the assumption that reading wikipedia equals a comprehensive understanding of human language, or at least produces a result that is an effective tool for everybody, makes the entire video pretty much useless. In addition to that, it represents a world of other ways in which this is deeply problematic.

my toaster burns toast, my microwave cant reheat meals and my toilet dribbles water after flushing. Yet they want to leap everything wrong in the world with a software fix? there is ZERO chance any of this will apply in the real world. My job is safe, being that I am in the tangible world, even though I want to retire.

@@godsinbox Btw, those things wrong with toaster, microwave, and loo are due to the extent or not of your human input, which AI can't fix.
