The ChatGPT Code Interpreter is a plug-in for ChatGPT that provides a sandboxed and firewalled execution environment for Python code. It is a tool designed to extend the capabilities of ChatGPT and enable it to understand and interact with various programming languages. The interpreter only runs for the duration of the chat session, and is also hosted on ephemeral disk space, meaning the data is cleared after the conversation is closed. At the heart of ChatGPT’s Code Interpreter is a sophisticated machine learning model that is trained to interpret and execute code in real-time.

To me it feels like Chat GPT and these AI tools can change someones life for better. I mean, these tools are changing how we live every day and there is huge potential for earning in my opinion. For example, my dropshipping business really started to rise when this AI epidemic started (to be fair I had to use other tools like Famester for boosting and WinnerZilla for getting products, but at the end it was worth it). Also content creators can use AI, and then Famester to immediately boost their content and easier get to fame. I think it's really great age in which we live. Only worry is that lots of people are going to lose their jobs maybe...

The problem is that it gets way too easy to be a “content creator” nowadays. Before AI people had to actually learn Photoshop, Premiere Pro or whatever photo or video editor to be able to compete in the field of content creation. Now with AI it’s going to get much easier, which will lead to an increase in content creators, which in terms will lead to more competition and therefore less profit for everyone. That’s how any business works, the more competition there is, the less the cost of your services. Content creation as a way of making good money is dead.

@@Blocky007 As I see it, a big advantage of Code interpreter (CI) over Copilot Chat is that CI proactively troubleshoots problems. Basically, if its initial approach doesn't work (e.g., loading a JSON file) , it will pivot and try another approach without requiring a user to suggest it. I see this as a big advantage. Have tried Notable, as I was interested in its database integration. But as of 2 weeks ago, I was finding Notable & Snowflake DB integration to be buggy. Great idea & potential - so I will follow Notables progression. This space is moving so fast- I feel it's way too early to settle on a single toolset.

I think some commenters may be missing the bigger picture: it's not just that ChatGPT-4 can write Python code, and that Python code is often useful for analytics. The bigger picture is this: when you ask ChatGPT-4 to do something it doesn't know how to do, *it now tries to write code to do that thing for you*. Yes, right now the use-cases are analytics, but OpenAI is certainly working on expanding that repertoire. Months from now we may be asking ChatGPT to do all sorts NON-analytical things that it doesn't know how to do, but that it knows how to write code to do. 🤔🤯

That's the amazing part of the entire Plugins framework (and the newer Function Calling ability that Plugins are based on): they're effectively just giving the AI tools, and the AI is smart enough to know not only how to use them, but *when* it should use them. So it has to "know what it knows" and "know what it doesn't know", in a sense. It's a level of metacognition I don't think we've ever seen in an AI before GPT-3, and it's improved substantially in GPT-4.
@IceMetalPunk

As a software developer, I think it's pretty amazing the way it debugs itself like a human: trying an approach, testing it, seeing where it goes wrong, thinking of what could cause the issue, tweaking the code to fix it, then trying again; rinse and repeat until it works. On the other hand... the fact that an AI with that level of self-awareness, trained on *so much* existing code, can't manage a basic DFS/BFS pathfinding algorithm is a bit disappointing. (BTW, depending on how you interpret the phrase "a solution to the maze", there was certainly one in that maze: top-left to the middle of the right wall. The bottom loop was unnecessary to traverse at all, so the search algorithm should have still found a solution if it were implemented correctly.)

ImageMagick is a seperate dependency from the Python that requires downloading for frame generation with Python. You could ask GPT-4 to generate the animation without the use of ImageMagick and it could probably write code around that specific dependency, but that would require more effort than a single prompt for the animated gif since the default go-to implementation would usually involve ImageMagick.

"Self-reflection" maybe, not self-awareness.

Now if they bring back browser support which they took away. We give you a gift we take away that's the problem with centrally controlled AI they can always remove features or degrade already existing ones

I don't know what happened, but I started noticing that you don't follow the ai news about the images. I don't know why. You only follow the ai sounds, music, writing generator, and sometimes videos......... I moved away from the images, for example, it didn't cover the big uproar about sdxl 0.9. No. I know why they hate sd, if I had a feeling you would cover it, are you really diving into new ai news? Where are you from this? sd is the best image generator because it is open source and has tools that make you design super images that surpass Medjourney in accuracy and splendor...sd combines ai and humans

please stop believing the graphs that are generated, it is as bad as believing what GPT4, *which "hallucinates", tells you.

Great! When can we upload "BattleField4.exe" to the ChatGPT code interpreter to get it to fix all the bugs EA never fixed, EA is going to be shutting down BF4 servers soon.
