You actually can do kq with just melee, the old-school mechanics for kq makes the prayer prot melee just for show. It doesn't actually fully protect it from melee

A few hours after uploading, I received a discord message from a friend asking if I ever tried melee only because it does, in fact, work haha. I sat in my chair and was like... wow, I've played this game for thousands of hours and am still learning new stuff. I dont want to spoil anything but there might be a video in the near future that addresses this and explores some of the melee only options for KQ! ;)

You absolutely can do KQ with a melee only setup. Her protection prayers just indicate to 2004 players which attack style to use on each phase.

I love this content! Great work man. I bet if you delved a bit deeper into ChatGPTs functionality, you could get more out of the series. I feel like its capacity to hold a conversation should be utilised a lot more. Often the first result it spits out isn’t it’s best work and it takes a bit of back and forth and fine tuning to really discover what it thinks are the best methods.

I appreciate the kind words! I have a few more ideas lined up revolving around ChatGPT that I plan on making into videos in the coming weeks (sometime in the next month is the plan right now). And I 100% agree with you there. I don't doubt for a second that if I actually gave ChatGPT more than the bare minimum, it could've optimized its results. But, at least for me, part of the fun was using the wacky and suboptimal gear that it spit out on a first pass!

I really wonder where it gets its lists from. Since, individually, the items are all good picks. But there are some... obvious... problems with the combinations they provide.

@@0BRAN0 it’s easier to ask random questions to chat gpt than a wiki. Like the price difference between ammo types over time, how much better certain options are, etc

It's honestly a pretty good starting point for that! I was very impressed how close it could get in a lot of instances. The problem was that it clearly was pulling best equipment from a list somewhere, but it didnt actually know WHY it was selecting certain items. So it didnt know about set effects, or boss mechanics. I bet if you had a way of feeding the OSRS wiki to it, though, it would actually give perfect advice though!

@@BigBoyApprovedGaming I asked the same prompt for the kalphite queen for gpt4 with the new bing search and it gave the two different gear setups and the strategy to defeat the boss.
