The tiles are pretty usefull. Pro tip: You dont have to run around the circle of tiles if she is not exactly in the middle, just go back and forth on a few. Enraged phase is easy if you remember its always 2-2 for the attacks, I like to ignore the tiles, and just spam run around her, remembering to run after every attack.

I died to this boss like 6 times and then as soon as I watched this and did the trick at the enrage phase I passed so easily... thank you so much!

Of all the Vardorvis videos I've watched to try for my first Quest kill, this one was the one that did it for me. Quick, concise, I literally just stood between the pillars and hit him, didn't even dodge any axes, just used my brain power to watch for the head attack and eat at good times. Thankyou so much :)

Berserker ring is better. This is a rare time when you want that extra max hit to kill him faster especially when learning. Your dps falls off very hard taking it off

Hilariously, the buffs applied still cause you to lose 1 stack between vard kills... and this is still the only boss that its better to use over scythe since scythe would be major upkeep. They have kind of written themselves into a corner trying to not go above T80s and keeping scythe where it is, which is why saeldor blade is still BiS for most people.

why waste the slot on a stack of runes for thralls and death charge instead of the lightbearer? With the lightbearer you get 2 specs every kill if you put it on in the potion phase. Makes more sense than the death charge imo.

I got spooned pretty good. Took 1380 total KC for axe. Duke dropped it first KC after quest

Tip 4. If you do this boss the entire day and you are tired.. stop doing this boss. You'll die. I'm at 1200 kc and still die every now and then.

Slightly spooned I got first virtus piece (the top) and the sirens staff at 32 and 36 today I heard collection log complete and was surprised the fact I heard it twice in such little kc finally spooned somewhere

Well those tile markers do help but I still can't beat this whore boss. I just can't fucking deal with switching prayers on top of everything else. I've tried only Range praying and just tanking the Magic hits in the enrage phase but even with 95 Magic it still just does too much. I'm so tired of modern OSRS bosses, I can't deal with these annoying mechanics. Whoever thought this was okay for a quest boss should get kicked in the nuts until they die. I just want my Quest Cape back ffs.

Dharok’s also works well for this, it’s what got me thru for the quest. FWIW the bit about keeping to the edge to avoid tendrils seems to have been patched.

Strange because I learnt varvodis and the other one without a guide but this one was tripping me up I was just camping the corner I didn't realise the traps alternate in a pattern too lmao

Just finished my axe at whisp. Love this boss. If anyone is struggling your prolly just panicking in the enrage phase. Enraged phase always starts with range. Soon as you get into enraged phase att boss and run a few tiles. Hit the boss again and by the time you get mouse back to prayer book you switch prayer. This puts you in perfect rhythm. Don't stop moving. And always pray pot before entering enraged phase. Having to sip a pot while learning thus phase will get you killed

Great guide! One question, when I clicked on my black fragment when I am in the shadow realm I didn’t went back to ”normal phase”... Did I missclicked 10 times or is it something u need to change?

it doesn't let me exit the shadow realm during the pillars once i've entered it and how do you do ground marker setup during enrage phase? my tile markers disappear when we enter it and i have to remark during the phases..

I got spooned axe pieces at duke and vard. I really want the weapon because I think it's cool and Jagex is buffing it. I'm on my GIM and next thing you know, I'm 1700kc deep at leviathan with no axe piece yet...
