Thanks. It was a great place to start our festive season. We usually go away for Christmas now we are retired. This year we will be away for 31 days with two weeks once more in Vienna. Hello Jennifer. This was a great start to our Festive Season. Glad you enjoyed seeing this day out. We are once again heading into Germany and Austria for most of December and into the New Year. After almost a year with limited mobility it really feels great to finally get moving once more. Hello Serge. Chatsworth puts on a great show each year. We had not been for some time but this really was a great start to the Festive Season for us. The light trail was really enjoyable. We leave tomorrow for a trip across southern Germany and Austria. After flying into Frankfurt we will be heading for stops in Mannheim, Nurnberg, Regensburg, and Passau before having two weeks in Vienna over Christmas and the New Year. We will then head for a couple of nights in Salzburg and three in Munich before flying home. 31 days in all. We are really looking forward to be out and about once more. Plenty of side trips along our route so should be really enjoyable. After this past year we are really looking forward to better times ahead. Hope you have a great time this Holiday season. We really enjoyed the light show. It was a brilliant start to the festive season for us. We were going to Wrest Park for their event a few days later but it was cancelled due to Storm Bert. We have not had the best of luck this year but we are now looking forward to a 31 day trip over Christmas/New Year hoping to make up for this largely inactive year. Best wishes Dawn & Dave. Thanks to having friends who live in the Midlands, I've been to Chatsworth a few times but never during the Christmas season. (Not being a fan of cold weather I tend to avoid the Northern Hemisphere in winter!) The Christmas decorations are really lovely in that impressive house and the lightshow on the facade looked amazing.

Thanks for watching. We have family in New Zealand but could not imagine visiting at Christmas. We really enjoy the long dark nights filled with the colour of the myriad lights coupled with the sounds and great atmosphere that we associate with this joyful season. I really could not imagine being on a beach or having a Christmas BBQ say. We are leaving in two days for a 31 day trip across Germany and Austria to make the most of this time of year. The hot Gluwein/Mulled Wine would not be the same in hot sunshine, although I do appreciate your desire for the warmth. Living in Nottingham (and at times Sheffield and Chesterfield) the area around Chatsworth is one we have spent much time. Glad you enjoyed visits yourself. Best wishes for the Festive Season.
