Thank you Bud for bringing back so many great memories. Gail Grammer and I were the co-captains of this great band. A lot of hard work - 12 hours a day in the summer if I recall correctly. Casavant was one of the most talented men I have ever known. A genius ... and my mentor. Influenced me for life!!! Marti Brown

Hi Enoch - When I got out of the Service I traveled 800 miles to Nebraska to take a class from his son, who was following in his dads footsteps. I not only learned how to precision march but also how to twirl a rife and work with flags. At one point, I think I had every precision marching book written by A.R. - they were all paperbacks. Thanks for sharing this video with us.

I was in the Dynamo Marching Band under Casavant in 1969-1970. I had attended Alpine Crest Elementary with his daughter, Nancy.

Dr. Casavant came back to City in the late 60's and left in 1970. We continued to perform the routines he made famous in the fifties.

It was HOT out there on a summer day, wasn't it, Marti? And dusty! And we got yelled at! And it was great! Skippy

Remember Willy Lump Lump? ' can't recall the other epithets, but there were many. Such a memorable man. My youngest son and I made a few visits to his place. He had all sorts of plants growing. On my 60th birthday I was a sad pall-bearer.
