I'm in Rae's chat frequently, but even I can see and admit that some of the chatters are fucking crazy. They don't listen to anything Rae says while trying to calm them down and restrict them, they take advantage of that she cares too much, and they're straight up menaces to share a chat with. I can see why a lot of outsiders claim that we're crazy in good and horrible ways. It's unenjoyable to watch your streamer spend her time constantly having to berate them for acting the way they do, and I truely do wish that there was a better way to reprimand these types of chatters on yt.

%100, I've been a fan of rae for years and decided to finally be a part of the chatters officially joining sun rae. but I got so dissapointed for what happened recently from her previous live, I just knew how the vibe changed and saw a TON of chatters displaying their opinion on her RP and how they are directing her on what she should do. It's such a let-down because the RP had to be paused just because she has to explain to the stupid birds why she's doing what she's doing when it was supposed to be a fun RP and it just turned out to be a classroom. It's so frustrating, most of it are dumb opinions like they don't know what's happening. It just takes one person to say "stop it chat" for sun rae's and the mods fix the issue and spread the words to brain dead chatters, and honestly if we can't avoid the situation, we have to gather the courage to at least stop those chatters that starts these. I had to repeatedly type in "stop chat" to be acknowledged because of how much people are js agreeing to these chatters lol.

I had to start turning off chat when I watch Rae's GTA rp streams it is way too much of everything people just don't care about being backseaters and are some of the biggest W chasers to the where they chat hop, spread misinformation, and literally ask streamers directly to solve their problems with rp. By far the biggest pet peeve is that they are just so loud and don't care that they will just spam when Rae goes live in other people's chats like they are side characters irl, it's insanely disrespectful.

I think this is the nature of really big chats to some degree, to be honest. I was watching Mr K randomly a bit ago and he was in the middle of some RP and his chat kept spamming "remember to call Ray Romanov", "call Ray" "hey you didn't call Ray". over and over for ages. With big chats it just becomes overwhelming like that, because people backseat everywhere. And tbh, I've been watching both Rae and Chatterbox streams lately, and even Chatterbox' chat is really hard on Rae sometimes and gets vocal about what they think is right or wrong for Chatterbox the character,. But a major difference is that his chat is much smaller so it's not as overwhelming.

Jaggerbox is completely right. In character, he HAS to play a specific way due to his past and trauma. OOC, he likes the stirring, he likes the risks and mistakes. Jag is such an awesome advocate for supporting other RP streamers. People are so weird about Chattercups ending or having serious conflict. If the RP relationship stays perfect and their characters keep fixing their mistakes, it’s going to end a lot sooner than it could. But if they make major mistakes, it either builds or cracks their relationship. And when it finally ends, it will be so much more impactful.

This always just makes me think, if nopixel was an actual show, the viewers would not have this much power over what happens during the episodes. If they did, that would be the part of the fandom that everyone hates. I’m sorry but the REAL PEOPLE playing the characters deserve respect, the FAKE CHARACTERS need to have flaws in order to be good characters. It’s literally fake criminals doing illegal stuff to make money. If the streamers ROLEPLAYING didn’t make their characters make mistakes and bad decisions, IT WOULD BE BORING. Character development happens like real life, making mistakes and going through tough moments. If we don’t make mistakes, we don’t learn. If we don’t go through tough moments, we don’t know how to overcome them. Ray Mond’s 4.0 story got me so invested in nopixel again. As a long time viewer of nopixel content way before she joined, it’s been extremely entertaining and one of the most interesting characters I’ve seen, and I love that it also happens to be one of my favorite streamers. Imagine how shitty Sopranos or Mad Men would've been if the actors had to watch real-time reaction from the viewers as they performed the show. One thing I'll never understand (other than it might cut into the money from memberships and the entitlement chat gives viewers) is why ppl like Rae or Fuslie CAN'T turn chat off. Is the fear of ppl not buying memberships? Is it a rule? Twitch chat, for the ppl I watch for GTA, is a 1000x more mature than yt. Apparently, yt chat is 90‰ zoomer, who either just spam their slang or try to be Ray or April's director and exec producer. I tried to state this on Reddit but the srs for the ones I follow are absolute snowflakes or assholes. I've had more intelligent discourse on 4CHAN than Reddit. If someone calls you an fn dumbass on 4c, you know it's a suit post. On Reddit, it's either life & death or their own concept of protecting their waifu/gworl like swifties or beyhive.

It is just 1% who are toxic so they don't want the 99% good chatters to suffer. And there is still twitter, yt comments, their reddit that these toxic viewers can post. For example in Among Us where their chat is way more toxic and usually they don't look at it but it still affects them. The best way how they deal with it is to just stop playing the game. They are still variety streamers not rpers. They can also They can also just continue to learn to not care. Streamers' whole career is based on feedback from viewers. Now this doesn't mean they wouldn't have a career if they sometimes closed chat, in fact I think they should close chat at certain moments. The problem is it creates a psychological complex where they rely on their chat for assurance, help and validation. So to answer your question it's a mental thing. That also should explain why after a decade of being a streamer they'll still get one-guyd and still act in ways that only make themselves more unhappy.

@@SuccinctEarth07most ppl might not want a person's opinion but that shouldn't and won't (according to 1A) keep the person to not state that opinion, as long as it's not threatening or toxic/racist. That's the problem I have w/some fans/followers; if they don't agree or claim the comment is 'weird' (I've had this thrown at me by millennials and zoomers a hundred times and still can't grok what they consider 'weird'; what constitutes 'weird' for these ppl?), they act as gatekeepers, either for the person they're 'defending' or because of the New Rules of Language that's being enforced by various groups who apparently want words, phrases, even opinions changed/erased/blocked b/c THEY find it 'detrimental' to someone the OP doesn't know and shouldn't owe an apology if theyre NOT being deliberately toxic/bigoted. When I was young, esp when 1984 actually rolled around and ppl debated how close we'd come to Orwell's vision then, we thought, between the Moral Majority/Satanic Panic and the influence the CIA/FBI had with Reagan, it was bad. We were in a 'Freedom of Speech' wonderland in 1984 compared to now, with the Right wanting to erase books/history/political philosophy/PPL other than their own ideology and the Left seemingly demanding language and discourse as a whole to be dictated by their personal beliefs. I have no gripe or stance in what's called the 'pronoun game'; one of my closest friends is trans, yet they don't have a problem if I call them by their former name b/c that's the way my subconscious brain works (I call ppl the same name as how I'm introduced to) and my friends know this and accept it, to a point. But to dictate what someone says that's considered weird or problematic b/c it doesn't jive with their personal beliefs, if taken to the extreme or constantly browbeaten online, can be as almost as bad as some jackass in Florida wanting to ban any mention of sexual orientation or minority history/opinions. Cultural tyranny is still tyranny. If the streamer doesn't desire to see that opinion, ignore it or don't participate in a wide-open live comment stream where the mods can only delete, not gatekeep (like radio talk shows) comments, although the steamer can still see it b/c mods can only move so fast. Plenty of opinions I don't want to see and some I'd like to set fire to (meaning the idiot 10 miles from me, waving Trump 2024 and Fuck Biden flags NEXT TO HIS MAILBOX ON THE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY, where schoolbuses full of kids pass everyday, not to mention in cars). Where I live, if I put up a Fuck Trump flag, the county and state troopers would be swarming my house (benefits of living in Bama) so I can't do anything to stop the idiot down the road but I can be blocked from my own declaration (if I was ig'nint as the TrumpCult guy). Rae wants her chat to be an open space where people can say their opinion freely, which is fine. But the problem is that people are not being respectful. That chat is often very critical, judgeful, demanding, & mean about other characters/streamers. Raymond is simply a character that Valkyrae plays, whatever happens is Rae's decision based off her character, so stop trying to convince her to do other wise. Also, Twitter has gotten a little better, 4 weeks ago you'd get roasted just for having a negative opinion about Raymond or Chatterbox, or for agreeing with Gigi or Kitty, even liking April. I will not lie that the way Valkyrae's chat is, has put me off. GTA rp is just a game, you are not Ray Mond, Nopixel is not real, it's not a reality show, it's simply for fun and is content that a streamer chooses to showcase so that we all can witness it. My advice Valkyrae, is the same as Jaggers but also, stop relying so much on chat when you play RP. I understand wanting to read what the viewers think, but keep it occasionally, there's no fun- when chat is nitpicking everything you do, basically backseating the whole Ray Mond 4.0 arc and all of her friendships. & one last thing, to the people that were hiding in the back, that are wayy too invested into Chattercups... go touch some grass, go to the beach, ride a boat, go to a party, watch another streamer, do something else.
