Inktense Pencils on Quilted Fabric

The pencils look great! I have the inktense blocks they should work as well? You can layer another color on top once you've set it or blend two colors together before setting 😊 I'm going to get some aloe gel to play with. Thanks for the ideas!

GREAT idea and video, Kim! I need to practice my free motion quilting, and now I have an "excuse" to do so because I can use my InkTense pencils on the reverse side of the practice piece--hooray! I'm always looking for ways to use them. Could you also use textile medium on the pencils? Thank you again for another wonderful video! 🥰

Yes, you could absolutely use gel medium or textile medium - it works very much the same as the aloe vera gel.

I have the InkTense pencils, but have been hesitant to use them. Did you use a pressing cloth to protect your iron when you heat set the design made with vera? My first project will be to use them to embellish my cotton quilt labels made with Bubble Jet. Thank you, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦

Yes, I use a sheet of parchment paper to protect my iron when doing this type of pressing.Good luck with your project!
