Kaise din in canada without light n heating, India is good this way have the gen sets n inverters. We also experienced the same thing but in summer in Humboldt Saskatchewan last year. Good luck

We do not mind spending $1000 on a new iPhone but a one time spending of half that amount can get you inverter generator, propane gas stove which can be very useful if you go on camping.

Canada is really bad with these things. They don't have power backup at mobile towers and there are no signals. Signals should not go unless there is damage to infrastructure of mobile towers. In US, once there was a huge storm and on my way back I saw traffic lights fallen on roads, boards and even trees fallen. But power was back within 6 hours. And the mobile towers work, you don't have signal issue.
