I haven't seen anyone mention using this set up for a live band. Small bands don't have the capability to have a separate lighting operator. Would love to see this being used with a band! Can you make it happen?

Its very simple. The GIgbar is the brains, any additional lights, you add the D-Fi to it and follow simple instructions and bam, instant light show.

Ok. Nice. I see what going on here. If you are just getting into lighting go for the ILS. One short comming I noticed is that you cannot be in ILS and DMX mode at the same time. This could allow you to control the gigbar with customized light show and correspond to the other fixture through ILS and make them respond accordingly. Hopefully that can be fixed with a software update. However if you already have lights. It is better to do wireless dmx. This is best of both worlds.

ILS and DMX are 2 different protocols so there is no way they can listen to both simultaneously.

I honestly wasn’t aware a new Gigbar came out! I’m gonna have to research it. If I spring for ILS that means leaving behind Rekordbox Lighting, ADJ’s MyDMXGo, and Soundswitch though… could I handle that? Lol

So, if we have the scorpion ILS we cant program it to do what wed like? Its pre programmed to do its auto show? We have been able to use showxpress to program the scorpion rgby lasers but if we cant program this we ll have to return. We specifically bought it for the patterns it can do but we need to be able to control the patterns.

This is an exciting system, and I can really appreciate the benefit of reduced set up time & easier set up/tear down. On the gig bar, can the moving heads be used to provide a spotlight effect for couples first dance? (All other lights off, just the moving heads on & pointed at the dance floor) Will more moving heads be integrated into the ILS ecosystem? Like maybe spot 260’s?

You need to DMX it but yes.

I was wondering if you could answer a CHAUVET question for me... I have a brand new GigBar Move + ILS and an ILS Command, but I cannot get the ILS Command to affect the GigBar Move! Can you enlighten me on how to make these work together?? Thank you!

Hi Soon as i switch on the ils tx on my gigbar move plus ils the remote & pedal controller stop controlling the gigbar it has the latest firmware installed it gives me the option of off tx or rx when its off or rx the controllers work but to get my gigbar to control my slimbanks with tx on i then can't control the gigbar? Any help would be much appreciated

So with the new ILS protocol. Will we see a mix and match Gigbar? Meaning we start with a bare bones bar which we can then pic and choose which fixtures we want and have ILS control the show. Of course the price will very depending on what fixtures you buy. Mix n Match ILS Gigbar.

You an use the ILS COMMAND and use the master dimmer for all lights, as opposed to only the SlimPARs. All washes will respond together.

The one question I haven't seen answered. Is it possible to add new programs? It sounds cool for quick set-ups, but if I expand the system I'm gonna wanna be able to create my own programs via ILS.

If you want to create your own programs, you can use DMX because that is literally what it's for.

@@reissallan I wanted the convenience of being able to recall them from the remote. But I also assumed ILS was a different signaling standard, when in reality it's just wireless DMX that they've built pre-recorded programs for. I'd still like to be able to download new ILS profiles that interface via the gigbar.

@@PhoenixContorta ILS does not use fixture profiles - DMX does. You are able to store up to 6 different looks with the ILS Command (which is wireless) but it's not palm-sized. The D-FI technology is the communication protocol the ILS uses (as well as DMX). ILS is comprised of built-in auto programs that are triggerable. DMX will give you more detailed control and can be used wirelessly from a mobile device as well. Happy programming!

@@reissallan I'm pretty sure that's what I just said and what I said was it would be nice to have. Now I have to invest in extra hardware that I wanted to avoid. ILS becomes moot at that point.

I just bought a set of Intimidator 160 ILS moving heads. Basically I need the Gigbar ILS in order for them to utilize the ILS features?

In order to use the ILS feature, yes you would need the GBM+, however the ILS-enabled fixture by themselves are normal fixtures and can link in a standard master/slave configuration.

@@Feelstoramusic You can synchronize the MINIKINTAILS and the SWARMFXILS to each other without the GBM+. They would be in master/slave mode for that.

Can I master slave an old gigbar move or gigbar flex to the gigbar move ILS?

Yes you can, however the ILS version has HEX color pars so whenever the amber, white or UV colors are on, the slaves will be black since they don't have those colors.

For example, a MINIKINTA will not work as an ILS slave but a MINIKINTAILS will work fine.

@@Feelstoramusic yes, you need the GBM+ to control the ILS-enabled fixtures. The GBM+ is the brain/controller that sends the commands to all the slaves.

Yes sir! The GIGBARMOVE+ILS is a new GigBar all by itself, but it's also the brains behind the ILS ecosystem and is required to have. It's essentially the master controller.

y'all still aint selling ils. why opt for way less control over the system? lighting really does not serve any purpose without design... its just an annoyance without structure. even the best lights on the market are obnoxious without a good program behind them

Irresponsible company. That don't care . the feeling of their customer. I ordered for a smoke machine from UK and you sent the American voltage.i have reaching out for over year through all means till this very date ,no response what so ever. This is bad.
