@@lucky889s9 Plus GSW should have let go of Draymond Green instead... He cause so much locker room issues and contributed as much as destroying their dynasty with his antics and specially what he did to Jordan Poole after 2022... They could have had a better options but GSW sided with Draymond all the time and tolerated his antics and here we are now... I would have chosen Klay over Draymond or even Poole over Draymond because let's be real, Draymond in 2022 is wash... Poole, Klay, and Wiggins contributed better than Draymond in that playoff run and GSW let go of the 2 for basically NOTHING and then catered to Draymond's ego instead

Someone please answer this question. How is a man, that's one half of of the best shooting duo of all time, top 5 shooters all time, starting two guard on a dynasty with four championship that probably don’t happen without him, scored 37 points in a quarter(unheard of), 14 3's in a game, have been a constant high level 2 way player for most of his career (minus the injuries). You've never heard nothing but great words about him. Someone please tell me how Klay Thompson is not one of the top 75 players of all time? Who did the selecting, Sister Mary Clarence and the Blind Boys of Alabama? My opinion warriors messed up, Steph and Klay are supposed to retire together. This league is not to be taken serious

I've said this multiple times on sites like this. It's super hard to keep a team for 10 or 15 years and make it an elite team like the Warriors were. As a Spurs fan, we were fortunate to be able to last about 15 years with the core, until Tony ultimately was forced to leave to try to continue to work around Kawhi and Timmy at that time. Nothing is forever. But make no mistake. As shocking as it is to alot of bay area fans that Draymond wasn't let go 1st before Klay, the reality was, despite Draymond's disruptiveness, he was for the most part able to stay relatively healthy, and Klay could never fully recover entirely after 2 consecutive years of surgeries that ultimately put the undervalue in Klay to where the Warriors felt like Klay was the option to let go moreso than Draymond. Understand nothing is forever, but the 4 titles that Golden State won, will always be what keeps the conversation as the best small ball team out there ever in thier dynamic run. But at some point the Warriors had to make that choice to where they need to retool or begin to get younger to where they still can be viable for the last few years of Stephen's career. Now can they still win a title without Klay, but retool enough to where they can still make a push? We won't know until next year, but as long as Steph is there, there is a chance. But at some point everyone knew this would eventually come, just like it did with the Spurs when Tony was the 1st domino to fall in ultimately ending the Spurs dynamic run. Hopefully Klay does do well in Dallas to get another opportunity for a championship run. And hopefully Steph gets at least one more shot for a title in the bay area before its all gone.

He was offered 2yr 48mil last off season and he refused. His ego got too much and warriors ain't having it. After what warriors have done supporting him through injuries. Now he took 3yr 50mil and still the 4th option at best with Mavs? Screw Klay. Mavs ain't contender next season anyway. All the other teams are healthier, younger, faster. Luka carrying again. The only warriors mistake was not trading Wiggins on deadline and not keeping short leash on Dray

@@lucky889s9 yes he was, but he bet on himself at the same time, assumed the Warriors would pay him anyhow because they did so with Steph and Draymond. Unfortunately for Klay, not only he was unable to convince the Warriors he deserved the money, he also did not produce what the Warriors thought he was worth. That 2 year 48mil deal was more than what Dallas gave, and even more than what the Lakers were willing to offer, at 4 years 80 mil, but Klay refused and instead got a lesser deal with Dallas despite the Warriors 2 year deal, and a lot of that reason Klay ultimately accepted Dallas offer was because he was bitter on the fact that he felt the Warriors screwed him that they weren't loyal to him The thing and problem is, the Warriors were beyond loyal to him, he missed 2 years because of surgery, and yet didn't balk or reclaim that contract he was in the middle of all his time he missed, he got 2 years free outside of him have to miss 2 years and had to get himself back to game shape and try to become what he was before hand. The Warriors were far beyond loyal. But apparently how he makes it look like, he was more about his bag more than the comodary of the big 3 and what they meant to the bay area. Again this is what I'm assuming, will have to wait if Klay will ever explain why he balked on that deal to end up going to Dallas, if he ever does say anything. But the Warriors weren't going to wait any longer. He had over a year to accept the offer, which I believe was more than fair, given his circumstances, he chose to bet on himself and lost. In the end however, again, this wasn't going to last forever, because either way, if it wasn't Klay, it easily could have been Draymond, but because Draymond did not have the injury history Klay had, even though is disruptiveness was a potential problem, they must have felt that Draymond was worth the risk to keep in the end and not Klay. Again I'm looking at this from the outside so I have no idea why or how this all came to be, but it was coming to a point where the Warriors had to make the choice of trying to retool to try to still be relevant for the rest of Steph's career, so they pulled the trigger to not keep Klay. In the end it's a business and these things will happen all the time As a fan of the NBA and a Spurs fan, I'm greatful that I got to see this dynamic run for their 13 years and see them win 4. Hopefully Golden State still can win again, with Steph in the back half of his career and that Klay still has a chance to win in Dallas. That's all you can do as a fan of the sport and respect the greatness that team was.

*The micro context is:* Klay put a bet on himself and lost... they offered him 48million for 2 years last summer and he turned it down to try and have an amazing year and get more.. This lead to the choice being; put your tail between your legs, accept less, accept that you lost the bet and stay or go else get the same money as last years offer and use the fresh start to patch your ego with a new honeymoon period. *The macro context is:* Poole should have never got his money before Klay based on the last 13 years *Both sides fucked up*

Indirectly could you say Dramond was responsible for the situation that led to Klay leaving? If he didn't punch Jordan Poole and cause the ensuing rippled effects-Chris Paul trade and a number of other issues-maybe the team would have been in a better position to have retained Klay??? Or Draymond could have taken less money and helped leave some cap for Klay?
