If you get random service required notifications on the Jeep info center - it is a common problem with the solder joints ( they used a lead-less solder). Refloat the solder joints on the boards, and it will fix those random service 4WD switch etc. The cracked solder joints can be seen with a magnifying glass on the boards.
@Kukelinefelter7 күн бұрын
Yeah I have the service 4wd switch all the time I’ve got the transmission out right now on the cheap jeep doing a rear main seal I believe it’s actually a wiring issue with the pigtail on the transfer case because when I hit a bump it moves the wire and it goes away but looking into right now actually.

if you go down the 1.9tdi route, find an ALH tdi from an automatic transmission VW, they have bigger injection pumps than the manuals for some reason, and can handle a bit more than a tdi from a manual. your main issue would be buying/making an adapter plate to match the 1.9 to your mazda transmission and clutch.

4:36 especially gm, with the s10 platform they had the chevy s10, GMC Sonoma, Isuzu Hombre, then the chevy blazer, GMC jimmy, and Oldsmobile Bravada. so Chevy GMC Isuzu and Oldsmobile were all making the same truck/SUV

I had a Mazda pickup two wheel drive stick and loved it, until I made a U turn in front of a full size Chevy pickup and almost died, don’t like small pickup’s anymore. I also have bought salvage title cars before and always had good luck with them until I had to sell them, barely broke even. I think with the crazy prices of used vehicles these days, I think you guys got a fair deal. James can sell that camper shell and get some of his money back. Great video by the way 👍🏻

I know! we are looking around for something really clean (80’s Toyota pickup) for the next giveaway build and it’s 25-30k😭 debating options! Really want to put a 1.9 TDI in it and have a little 25-30mpg overland rig. Ridiculous range for Baja!

Well Luke has his transmission on the floor right now and I need a fan clutch. My tires looked good but after airing down and doing some off-roading they started cracking. So both of us needed new tires😪

Hoping I can come up with $5,500 for a 99 f350 7.3L 6 speed ZR6 4x4 crew cab would love to get that one or something similar, but kind of hard to come by the people that buy these trucks usually keep them. Currently have a 2019 Ranger 2.3L but it's just too small and can't haul what I want and the extended cab kind of sucks. Waiting for the multiplier to enter the giveaway that camper would be so nice.
