I dont know if anyone else likes this , but I absolutley love GV frosted wheats that I dip in Jiff Penut butter. I get a 24 oz box of frosted wheats and a 40 ox jar of Jiff for under $10.00, and its like 8800 calories. Always feels like Im eating something substantial with a satisfying crunch, lots of fiber, filling penut butter, and sweet frosting. I live this much better than any bars. I also bring nutella for a change up, or a combo...lol.

5:45 anyone remember when those used to come with more like crackers and then there was a little red plastic rectangle in there? The red plastic rectangle was for spreading the cheese or peanut butter I guess. Anyway, in elementary school me and other kids used to hoard them and see who had the most. If you are using the dried fruit to kick up your oatmeal I found the Freeze Dried reconstitutes more like the real McCoy. The Dehydrated ones tend to reconstitute more on the mushy side , like the ones in a pie ( soft ). The freeze dried are crispy like from a tree. I have a grand time in grocery stores mixing and matching things for Freezer Bag Meals. Want to protect those cookies from being crushed ? Use an old Pringles Potato chip container. Hydrox Cookies , Yep remembering them. We have 2 ALDL'S a huge ALDI down the road and a smaller one in town.

I recently started shopping at aldi just for regular shopping and was surprised when I bought some frozen mexi cali chicken patties that are uncooked. Looked at the ingredients and it was Chicken, bell pepper, red pepper, colby jack Cheese and I think one other normal ingredient. Great option to get away from all the harsh additives. They are trying to actually sell organic and just normal food there. Lot of people don’t know that Trader Joes is owned by Aldi as well.

Im not sure if its because I grew up with it, but the spray cheese at aldi isnt bad lol. I like it on my toast. Camt have it all the time but its shelf stable and better than nothing while camping and you want cheese. Ive also found a discount store called Daily deals. It has close dated/over stock foods and the past year or so theyve had shelf stable cheese bars like the ones you get at the mall from the big kiosk with summer sausages and kelly and crackers. Something farms lol They had smoked cheddar/smoked Swiss/ smoked gouda/sharp cheddar and all sorts of other ones. Even bacon cheddar and salami cheddar. All with a good date on them. We often have a bunch in the deli drawer as they were only $1 last time we were there. I throw crackers and a couple packs of the cheese and onr of the shelf stable summer sausages in the bag to go whem we know we might be out for a bit. I've seen the same cheese at another discount food/merchandise place called Ollies.

Aldi is definitely a favourite of mine to pick up some cheap eats!! And especially camping food! But being lightweight is definitely important, I made the fatal mistake of carrying way too much before, it really makes a difference! Great video as always my friend!

I try my best to keep food weight down too. Some of these options are on the heavy side but the dried fruit almost floats! If only it had more calories!

Aldi definitely has some great deals. My wife always gets annoyed with me because while shopping I’m always looking for new backpacking ideas. 👍🚐😎✌️
