When the Dyson Pro came out, 7 stylists in my salon got it, and every one of them has sent them in for repairs/replacements. Even the master stylists who have assistants that religiously clean the filters every few days have problems w them. Meanwhile, I got a Rapido a couple months after and did a very scientific 😅 comparison of the heat/wind power by holding my hands up to them at the same time and found they were the same - also ran it by a couple of other ppl and they said the same. Best part is my Rapido has been tootin along for the last 4 years w no problems, and it was $120 on sale.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN YOU DO A SEPERATE VIDEO ON THE BABLYSS RAPIDO AND HOW TO USE IT ON MEDIUM LENGTH HAIR WITH ALL THE FUNCTIONS?
@andrewdoeshair2 жыл бұрын
high heat and high power to rough dry and remove moisture, high heat and low power to smooth and polish (more tension for more smooth), then cold shot to set the hair (like a hot T shirt fresh out of the dryer, whatever hair cools doing it stays doing).

Thank you for this video. Had a Dyson for 4.5 years that died on me. Loved it but not paying another $400+ for something to crap out on me when used once or twice a week. Will pick up the Rapido right after I’m done typing this.

@andrewdoeshair just used the Rapido for the first time today. It’s freaking fantastic! Tons of power and just the right amount of heat. Prior to it being delivered, I went to Ulta and tried a bunch of dryers they had on display and not one, including the Dyson, had as much power. Thank you again!

Rapido is from their Italian line and is made in Italy. Their other line is made in China.

great video ...quality tools will last... im a barber doing mainly short hair so i put about half as many "hours" of use on a hairdryer as a hairstylist probaly would, but im still using my WIGO 1100 that ive had for 30 years now... it was a $150 hairdryer 3 decades ago, so i figure ive got (& stil getting) my moneys worth... again, great video man, & i enjoyed ur shear video as well, so thank u sir

hi Andrew! great video as always learned a lot from you. I Have a question about hair products. do you look for a particular ingredient like kaolin/bentonite in a product or u just look for a water based on top of the list?

Do you have any recommendations at each price point? I only go for a few minutes every day on my own hair, but am on a $30 Conair. I typically go for textured styles
@Chris24_5 ай бұрын
That Rapido he’s mentioning in the video is a great option because you can get it on sale around the clock (seen it go as low as $120) the previous model which is still almost as good (the Babyliss Volare) retails at about $180 as well. If those prices mentioned are still high, there are a lot of brands you check out but the safest bet for quality results is still probably Babyliss. Even though he’s recommending the Rapido in the video, from experience I can say almost all of their options are solid for the price you pay. You can get a quality hairdryer from them for around $100 (and that’s without a sale or discount)

What if I have a cheap hair dryer that doesn't have that attachment to make the air come out in a "line" bit instead it just comes out in a circle? 😅

Whenever I look at online stores that sell the Babyliss Pro Rapido it says that it lasts 5000 hours, not 10000 hours like yours. Where did you get a model that lasts 10000 hours?

@@andrewdoeshairThanks. Sorry for the late reply. Besides having double the hours(10000 compared to 5000), is the 10000 hours model better then the 5000 hours model?
