SHTF (SNOW hits the fan)! So I have been wanting to review this as I sold the Subaru (it was too reliable and ran great so a bit boring)
I spent a fraction of what I sold it for, and got this with the same miles (110k). I have $5k invested and have the same reliability as new JEEPS costing $45k plus (not saying it's good reliability). Car prices are crazy and overlanding / 4x4 rigs should not cost much as you are going to Use and abuse these. Jeep liberty's are almost given away now and nobody likes them (in Europe they are a popular overland rig).
What I needed: locking 4x4, low range, and thread on your tires. That is really it (though a lot of crossovers work too I wanted 4 low)
What I added
Roof rack that was really cheap shipped and fits good

4 new Mastercraft Courser HSX All-season tires (guess they stopped making this model)

Fixed 4wd position sensor, Wheel bearings, sway bushings, new radiator and flush, cheap CarPlay touch screen, new shocks for rear hatch, detail, and seat covers (with cigarette lighter heated seat pad). (oh and all new lug nuts and USGI backpack cover for spare tire). And this still cost less than most mall crawlers rims and tires. It looks pretty good and engine will probably run forever but everything else will not. Hoping to get over 200K out of and I'll be happy/.
