How do I do this but Wayyyyy less think? I am trying to make a Jesse wig (toy story) and need enough for the braid but not THAT much lol

You could probably do it with only rows of yarn applied to the top half of the wig and get away with the braid and that would get rid of most of the bulk. You'll just have to glue them in directions based on how you're going to wear it to avoid making holes. Hope this helps!
