I would love to have seen some of your footage with the camera using this setup. Great tutorial. Thanks.

Nice work! Actually with the help of a friend of mine, very much capable at DIY and with proper tools like drilling equipment and the alike, we, today, made something very much similar to this one. Same slider (80cm) and obviously the TurnsPro timelapse motor, though I only have one of it, for the time being. A second TurnsPro head might come later.

FANTASTIC..............I will be doing this. Great solution Will. Have you had any ideas as to how to make a three axis one ?

Will: Please I need your help. My Turns Pro is spinning very very slowly. How can I fix it? Please help me, thanks in advance for your answer
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
Hi, they are slow, but yours may have a problem if it's very slow. The fastest turn is 20 seconds (I think) but you can speed it up for the slider with a different sized gear on the pulley rope

Genius! Great idea, even better execution!

Very good idea..Thanks
@PapyOurs914 жыл бұрын
great idea! Can you make it go faster as well? What would the max speed be?
@WillGudgeon4 жыл бұрын
You can adjust the speed with the Turnspro, not sure on the fastest, but would be faster enough for video and can slow it down to really slow for time-lapse
@PapyOurs914 жыл бұрын
@@WillGudgeon thanks, Do you think it might be possible to create a curved diy slide? Didn't find any data about it 😅

@@PapyOurs91 🤔 I think it could be done, but a lot of work to get it to work, it's always worth a try 👍

Do the pulleys add too much friction that you can’t do a normal hand held slider shot? I love the video and the idea of attaching the Turnspro for time lapse, but say I just need a quick slider scene for some b roll...will I have to remove everything to get the smoothness back like it originally was?

Wow amazing, just wondering will it stop once it’s at the end of travel or do you have to intervene? Thanks in advance 👍

You have to stop it yourself

@@WillGudgeon thank you for the reply, I would love to do this but those turnsup, are $99 dollars each plus the slider it’s like $300 total. 😢 I might just do the i footage shark nano it’s like another $200 but it has a lot of features. Stilling amazing idea tho👍

Does it work in upward angle ?? Will turnspro have enough power to move in upward inclined direction???
@WillGudgeon6 жыл бұрын
ak g it will work on a slight upward angle, depending on the size of the camera, if you had just a gopro should do okay. I will test it out and let you know.

Would be great to know If from the UK where did you find the corner bracket and pulleys?

Regal State hi, yes from the UK, found the corner brackets and pulleys in B&Q. Pulleys were attached to a metal holder, but just easily ground them off

I love it! Just a quick question. Is there any way to speed up the motion? Would a larger wheel fix that?
@WillGudgeon6 жыл бұрын
Yes, bigger wheel will move it along faster, smaller much slower. Not sure how big you could go before putting to much strain on the motor.

it doesn´t work, the sliding velocity is to slow. You need a 5sec/turn to cross the hole slider in 1 min, Turnspro has only a velocity of 20 sec/turn.
