cheap,DIY,homemade elaut - crane game - claw machine

My DIY crane game made from scratch. All cost approx. 80$
Used parts:
old bunk bed
toys
dismantled printer and videotape parts
old ac/dc adapters
arduino circuit
some plywood

Its amazing how strong the crane is. It carries 2 Teddys at the same time. Never seen that on original crane games :-)

The arms made from curved and flattened hydraulics pipes. Te heart of the claw is a coil, this "sucks in" an iron screw. This need a relatively high voltage and current (50V, and more amps). The housing of the coil is a piece of vacuum cleaner pipe :). The claw carriage made from a floppy box.

The motors and drivers dismantled from toys and printers, and the crane housing made from a floppy disk box. +james ferguson The display unit is an SSD1306 amoled display, and I used some PCF8574 port expander, because the Arduino nano haven't got enough I/O ports to buttons/motors/limit switches. I haven"t got circuit, because I made it on a demo board, and changed it many times. I have only a theoretic plan on paper, I can scan it, and I can send the arduino code, but the variable names 10-20% hungarians.
