They seem to work well just have to keep them full.

They work well, depending on where you live and your rodent problem I suggest putting 1-2 blocks in at first and see how fast they go through them. Some of mine they go through faster then other spots, and the blocks will get moldy over time. Good luck!

Thanks! Good job! Do you think that the bait blocks drop easier with the threaded rod or wire? Thanks
@amidwestfamily1122 жыл бұрын
I don't think it makes much difference. I like the threaded rod better but the wire works. Thanks for watching!

Try this with one: Take the bait out, flip it upside down and across a garbage can. Fill the garbage can with about 6 inches of salty water and smear some peanut butter around the perimeter of inside of the garbage can, just above the waterline put ramps up to the edges of the 2” pipe on each side and see what happens. I bet mice will drop right down into the garbage can, looking for that peanut butter. You could probably shorten the 1-1/2” diameter pipe to about 3”, making it more effective.

So the bait station upside-down would be a drop in place for them and the water in the bottom would be for drowning them I assume?

Thanks..I have chickens and the rats are killing me...I moved to the city and rats are awful here. Hard to poison them without the chickens getting into it, this is perfect.

I just use a straight piece of wire no hole in the cap. Drop the baits on the wire.

That's a good idea, thank you!

This poison moves up the food chain and kills predators like owls and hawks.

Yes it does, and that is why I don't like using them. Cats are not an option for us and I am not aware of any other options. If you have suggestions please share! Thank you for watching!

Use one-to-one mixture of flour and baking soda. The flour attracts the rats and when the baking soda hits the stomach acid it produces carbon dioxide that bloats and kills the rats. Much to their demise rats cannot pass gas. Also it is safe to use around animals and pets in case they break into it.

Some baits such as blood thinners won't kill other predators. I've checked into it. Just that it takes longer to kill the rodents. But over time you may get rid of them. The blood thinner causes the mice/rats to die of organ failure and not by poison.

You don’t explain things very well. I guessed you’re poisoning them, but you didn’t say that until later

I apologize for the confusion.

It was explained perfectly well. You were just being obtuse.
