That sounds great, man. I put a similar muffler delete (AWE) on my manual Wrangler and it made a world of difference. Not too loud, and just enough rumble to give good feedback on the gear progression. Good choice.

Sounds good dude. I did muffler delete in my 2 litre badlands sport about 5 months after I bought it for the same reason- too quiet. Good job!

it does open the air flow a bit. We have CAI on all of the Broncos from the factory with these restricted exhausts.

Great video! I was wondering what the 2.3 would sound like with a muffler delete. I like that my Bronco is quiet, but I don’t like the big chunk of muffler hanging back there waiting for a rock to hit it. So it’s either delete or find a smaller muffler that doesn’t sound obnoxious. Not that yours sounds bad. I just like to keep the DBs down for hunting.

Valid concern. From my research, the exhaust manifold and catalytic convertor provide enough back pressure that is needed. Less back pressure is better than more back pressure. There won't be any issues.

Oem muffler has a flap valve integrated to help with lower rpm ranges to retain torque values, just like performance bikes you get the best of both worlds. Basically the flap in the muffler helps with the lower rpms, then turbo helps with the higher rpms. Removing the muffler will give you more HP in then higher rpms but sacrifice your torque in the lower end.

That is a nice sound indeed. I use a nice Akropovic exhaust that sounds amazing, but I have a tiny rally car; not a bad-ass beast like yours.

Muffler deletes will really effect your lower torque curve since the factory muffler has a flap type valve in it. I ran a cat back for awhile then re-installed the factory and could tell immediately I had gained my torque back from the 1500-3000 rpm range

@@McCoy_Judd it’s is true your not building boost till 2300-2500rpm range so you relying on standard engine operations with no boost. When you crusining on the interstate your not using boost, when you crawling at low RPM’s your not building boost. There are plenty of dyno tests that prove lower rpm torque numbers are lost when installing an aftermarket muffle

@@McCoy_Judd this debate has been proven on multiple levels. Cars engineered today are extremely well engineered. This exhaust theory has been proven on even 1000hp engines, dyno with mufflers on and off. You gain minimal hp at from 3500-6000 rpm range. Unless your car was made in the late 70’s and 80’s bolt on items gain you nothing that’s worth thousands of dollars. It’s all in the tuning these days.

Just curious seen you on forums also but did you start off with 35’s then went with the 37’s? I have a big bend 24 non sas pretty much want to go a similar wheel setup, from my research removing the crash bars and putting a 1” level kit should be good to go with 35’s similar setup as yours. I’ll be buying the fast wheels from Canada too!

Nope. If anything it was a little loose. Was a bit seized in there to remove he muffler.

Good luck! Someone gave me a tip with the muffler bushings, spray some WD40 on them and they will come off easier.
