The pro's on a small displacement bike is that you can pin the throttle and go redline anytime you want and still not break any major traffic laws :D

It's not the size that matters, it's how well you use it...I love my KTM 390 Duke, it's fast enough, fun to ride. Light and Nimble. Very easy to handle. Lot's of Smiles Per Miles...Aloha!

Nice clutchless shifting brother. Be careful with the clutchless shifts though from 5-6. I have the RC 390 and sometimes it decides to not shift properly from 5-6 clutchless and falls in between gears and the noise when it falls in to gears is not pretty. Although it does work 95%of the time. I like the new no cut vlog style. It's pleasant to watch cause everything is spontaneous. Ride safe and have fun.

If any rider is hassling you about having a small bike they they just have no idea how to ride properly or have probably never experienced a small bike. It's a complete different riding style but it's no less enjoyable than any other bike. I have 2 CBR250RR MC22 (1 road, 1 track) and also a 2008 CBR1000RR. The 250 can be more fun than the 1000 at times and as you said, you're still riding so how can it not be having fun?

Some of the small bikes are a bit flaccid but the Duke 390 is not even remotely flaccid. It's an awesome little ripper that handles well and loves to be thrashed. It's a bike that anyone can have fun on no matter how much experience you have. They call it the corner rocket for a reason.

So I didn't comment on the reveal video but after hearing you had some "haters", I feel it is necessary for me to say, I am happy you are back in SA, I don't care it's only a 390, and bikers need to respect and stick with each other regardless of displacement... If you ask me, those haters can go fondle their ego on their big boy bikes, as long as we having fun we don't care!

I am from India, and I have few friends who own the same Duke 390. There's no problem in quality and there's no any issues with the bike. It's ofcourse a name of a big brand, so it's built to keep up with the name.

For those of you who don't know... KTM 125, 200, 250 & 390 are built in the city of Pune (3 hours from Mumbai). This city is a paradise for automotive builders. These KTMs are built by another company called Bajaj (which has 49% stake in KTM). The 390 and 250 engines are so ballistic that even Bajaj decided to use their engines and made Bajaj Dominar 400 and 250. Fun fact: Husqvarna also uses KTM Duke engine in their 250 CC motorcycles.

I've managed close to 400 km per tank on mine. But I always increase octane to make sure gas it's on spec (95). Otherwise I get less range Also, I've never managed to accidentally turn on the lights myself. I actually love the placement of the switch

Yes yes yes. Great video What's wrong with a bike made in india. The Ford ecosport or what ever it's called there is also made in india so stop saying such things. For the vibration we have seen less vibration and better performance smooth ride and economy with custom ecu or map. I would recommend u do that and it's also a video content. Love ur work man keep up the good work

My first bike was a Yamaha MT-03 and was a great school now I have the middle brother MT-07 and its enough for my the roads I take. I think the little ones are more fun because we can go all the power and don't pass the limits of the road. hehe Peace ✌

small bikes (and duke 390 is not so small) are more fun than big bikes! if you start ridding a 125/160c bike, than this is a issue, but 390 (371) is a awesome bike... my complain goes to the tank, so small and it comes with some issues on the coolant system... besides that, I would have another like this for sure!

If you ask me, I prefer the Duke instead of th R1. Sometimes you have as much fun on small bikes; as you need to rev them up, and use 100% of their power, instead of using only about 30% of a big bike IMO.

If your Duke randomly turns off when the clutch is pulled, get the software updated, it's a known bug. (Know it from experience, KTM Duke 125)

I had the smaller Duke 125 for about two years and drove with it over 17.000 kilometers and I never had a problem with the light switch...

I got a gsxr 125 as my first bike which I still have and refuse to get rid of and I am building and riding a 2 honda dominators which is a 650cc single which I have been getting into dirt riding on and I also have just got a gsxr 600 also I really like this this style of video

Ktm is good bike. KTM india only produced bike that has 390 cc and lower than that. But still a good one and worth value to buy compare to Japan brands. You feel excited with the single piston characteristics. Good for you

Great bike. Love mine to bits. Previous bike was a GSX-R 1100 RR. This is way more useable for everyday riding - not that we are allowed to do any everyday riding, but that will come back eventually. Negatives? I find the throttle response to be a pain around town. Oh, and yeah, I hit that light switch too often as well. I wonder if it's a result of having hand guards? Excellent review. Thanks. Oh, and yes, it's f-word beautiful.
