I'm not sure that I would have wanted to take a trip with your Ex- 747 pilot mate though! Landing a laden 747 in a cross-wind might get a bit "interesting" without a rudder. 😉😊

@@theoztreecrasher2647 Yes, agreed, in addition to cross-wind, can't recover from spin without a rudder, this is not applicable to 747 though...

sir, an electric prop should not be noisy. when an electric prop is noisy, it is an indication that the prop that has been used is Too flexible, for the application. a drone rotor is not a prop. a 'stiff' EP prop should be used. 009 when a vertically offset pusher thrust configuration should include the optimal location of the prop and the use of a correct adjusted thrust angle/line. neither of these things have been done. as a result, the thrust configuration produces unscheduled nose-down moment, whenever there is thrust. you may have trimmed the elevator, as Required, to compensate for this thrust issue. if so, that elevator up-trim is making 'extra' drag, All of the time. sir, there are overlapping 'rules' that guide the correct design of an aircraft; of any size. in addition to correctly locating the cg at thirty percent of chord, an aircraft's center of mass (c-m) should be located at a point that vertically aligns with twenty-five percent of chord. that point should also be located on the thrust line. said another way, the thrust line should Intersect the c-m. the linked photo shows an optimal offset pusher thrust configuration. there is, however, a mistake in the annotations. the added lines intersect at the point where the c-m Should be located. , however. that point is where the c-m Should be located. googletranslate static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/9/6/3/9/7/a5988257-224-bixler%202%20motor%20angle%20correction.jpg in this illustration, correct c-m location is indicated. s3.amazonaws.com/assets.flitetest.com/article_images/medium/truecg-jpg_1384168691.jpg in each case, the location of c-m is described as i have stated.

Thanks for a nice advice, I am happy to hear this kind of technical information. Yes, I still have an issue for nose down issue, when motor is accelerated. I did not try to compensate with the elevator, but gave ~ 10 degrees up trim for the motor. However it still has a habit, although it has been greatly improved. I may need more motor up trim??. In addition, when it goes vertically, it has a habit of straying to the left. Currently I am trying to compensate it with a rudder. It may need additional motor side thrust?? Please let me know your thoughts.
