I went interrailing in the summer of 2018, it was great. The route we took was London -> Berlin -> Prague -> Vienna -> Budapest -> Zagreb -> Split . Can't wait to go interrailing again in the future and travel to lesser known places!

My wife and I travelled inter rail 45 years ago for £145 each for a month . Used european timetable book . I was strong and very fit took a tent . But found it cheaper and more interesting to book into a place on arrival . We managed to reach many of the Greek islands and went from Greece to corfu then onto brindsi Italy and travelled back that way. We would stop for day in a place if we didn’t like it and stay longer week if we liked it. No app was used and planned whilst I travelled .

Any tips for saving money from train reservations? Like routs which don't require them? I don't have a particular plan yet but I want to take into account this cost when making it.
@ruben-41502 жыл бұрын
Well most trains don't require reservations. The only problem with this is that you are not going to have a seat all the time.
@chromatone52542 жыл бұрын
If you download the interrail planner app it tells you what trains will need reservations and how much they will be, so you can use that to find the cheapest trains for you :)
@ruben-41502 жыл бұрын
@@chromatone5254 true but you don't have to plan those ahead. Showing up at the ticket booth the morning of when you are going to leave is early enough 99 out of 100 times.

Im from the Uk, can i fly out to greece for example to start the trip and then get the eurostar back at the end?
@umeshikau14663 жыл бұрын
Yes you could
@ruben-41502 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. I would advice to look at how many travel days you want since trains/busses are quite cheap in the balkans. So saving your traveldays for the eurostar and the trains through germany/france/belgium is a really good call.

Is this "really" cheaper instead of buying single tickets from city A-B?
@joritreisewitz39993 жыл бұрын
oh yes totally
@joritreisewitz39993 жыл бұрын
Well, side note: if youre travelling in Italy, France, Spain or Portugal you always have to pay extra for reservations and supplements, but apart from that interrail is defo a cheap option
@unalettriceinviaggio3 жыл бұрын
@@joritreisewitz3999 Thanks a lot!
@hallvard742 жыл бұрын
Short answer, usually not. If you buy single tickets several weeks in advance it will definately be cheaper than an Interrail ticket. An Interrail ticket gives more flexibility though, so the question is do you think the extra flexibility is worth the extra money. On the other hand if you only book single tickets, you also have the flexibility to also travel by bus or plane. If you plan to travel a lot in eastern Europe buing single tickets up front will be much cheaper.

Thanks! I don't do much apart from Co-wash with 'as i am' cowash, sometimes condition with garnier banana hair mask and if i want it to look more groomed, scrunch with cantu curl activator xxx
