If you need a little more weatherproofing, a cheap bottle of silicone will do wonders if you slap a little bit on top of the exposed screws (like on the hinge for the hatch) That is how they weatherproof things like sunroofs in metal buildings and such. Loving this vid! I worked at a plastic manufacturing plant right out of highschool, this is giving me flashbacks!

I put 2 coats of water sealant water based only Before I put plywood down on my jonboats and only use stainless screws the zinc coated ones he’s using are gonna destroy the aluminum also
