@BudgetMaldives4 жыл бұрын
Hello Micheal. If you are looking to stay in a water villa, it can cost $1200 for two people to stay 3-nights. Average price is about $300 dollar per night for 2 people. Beach villas are much cheaper - around $100 pernight for 2. Transfer is done either by speedboat (for destinations close to international aiport), or seaplane / Domestice flights. There is a lot of activities you can do in Maldives, most uses the beautiful lagoon and crystal clear waters. Diving and snorkeling is quite popular. If you are looking for Maldives affordable water villas, give this video a watch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/joPVfoeOp613gMU

cinamon is the name of management company, the name of this particular resort is dhonveli. Friends, price varies depending on the seasonal months, book very early in advance is cheaper. Maldives is high priced because every thing must get to the islands which have nothing but fish. Economical or budgeted resorts mean cheaper than 200 usd per day..!!!! You can do cheaper at guest houses run by locals. Around 50 usd per day on rashdhoo island. Mixing up with the locals to get to the culture, feelings, ways of life of the populace. This can not be done on separated isolated resorts which cater mainly for foreigners.

Can you provide more details on how you booked your trip (i.e the website or travel agent etc) and which credit card company offers the extra night. I've heard AMEX do at some resorts. Informative video!! I went last year from the states. Very, very long flight (Orlando to Dubai via Emirates AL) then 24 hours on the ground in Dubai before another 3 hours to the Maldives. So it's a lot of travel JUST to get there, but it's well worth it. My friends and I were on a surf trip, surfing multiple locations through the central and southern atolls. I remember passing this particular resort and inquiring about it's name because it has a private surf break out back and one of very few breaks that breaks left (as opposed to mostly right breaking waves throughout the country). I have this resort on my radar to head to if I go back to the country. It's a good trip for sure.

IS IT WORTH IT ??? I say you fared well, although there are some key factors to be considered. Your starting point which was Dubai has a flight time of just under 5hrs, which is great, and so it would make a 4 day stay worth it. However, in my case, my travel time from JFK to resort was 24hrs and so 4 days isn’t even an option. I stayed at Hurawalhi for 10 days and would not recommend anything less than 7 days with a travel time of 24hrs, but personally, any time I go to the Maldives it has to be for 10 days. Hurawalhi has offered me an return visitor discount which I suspect all resorts offer their guest the same deal and the offer is very good. A little more about how I got there, 11.5hr flight from jfk to Qatar with a 2.5hr layover, then a 5hr flight to Malé, at Malé i waited at my designated resorts lounge area where I waited an hour or 2 for other guest that came in from other countries for my 45 minute seaplane flight to my resort.The ocean waters were a little choppy for the seaplane to land by my resort so we stopped at a sister resort and was transferred by speedboat for an additional 20-30 minutes. I thought I would be exhausted but was on an adrenal high and fulfilling a dream. So is it worth it??? That’s subjective, some said I’m out of my mind and others loved it, but hell yeah i’m going back, and at a better price 🤷🏻♂️
@BottomLineUpFront5 жыл бұрын
Fair point that we started in Dubai. It’s a dream for a lot of people, so I guess everyone has to make their own decision! Props to you for planning a return trip 😎

Dinner and drinks were actually not too expensive considering it’s the Maldives. Since we didn’t have the all inclusive we could have bought the buffet dinner that was part of it for $30 or just get a cheese burger, fries, and a beer for $12. Guess which one we picked?
