I have one of these hs35 series snow throwers and I was just searching KZbin on how I can get a little more jam out of this thing. Great video and I look forward to the tear down to see what happened. Kind of neat how it’s a flathead

I must say I had NO idea that these were flathead engines until I actually bought one…as far as power….I think the engine tear down video will show why these little guys lack serious snow throwing power. Thanks for tuning in and please keep an eye out for episode 2!!!

Put some transmission fluid down the spark plug make sure to get in the bore might throw some free all in it to to help loosen it up but that governor is not set right on it at all. 1984 is the most common year in those, I have one myself, the honda g100 engines of that series are now 40years old and if I was to bet I bet the governor fell apart in it from the plastic being so old. Just hope it wasn't like mine and broke the splash spoon off the connecting rod cap. But ya if you got a question give me a Hollar I'll definitely help y'all out! For $20 it's definitely worth fixing and restoring. I paid nearly $300 for mine but it was mint like new condition still had the original honda labeled ngk plug in it. Just was so old the governor failed in it but hey she's going again and still doing great!

Also seen what looked to be a 1960s honda e300 generator on your bench! Those are great little generators and are highly sought-after!!!
