Our Jaguar XF "Premium Luxury" is a stunning, Twin-turbo diesel, luxury saloon which has all the comfort and grace you expect from a Jag along with the ability to achieve 37 mpg combined fuel economy. This 2008 car is a sought after model with a fantastic "Premium Luxury" specification. Power comes from the 2.7 litre Twin-Turbo diesel engine complete with 6 speed automatic transmission and paddle-shift. The Jag is finished in a deep metallic blue which looks stunning and contrasts with the luxurious light beige leather interior, featuring heated front seats, full colour navigation and bluetooth phone connection.
The car is in stunning condition and has clearly been very well looked after. It comes with a fully documented service history which I will list below and has covered 146k miles from new which is around average for the age of the car. The Jaguar is keyless so opens automatically when you touch the door handle (SO long as you have its key on your person) and will start at the touch of a button. As you start the car you are treated to the theatre of an aluminum gear selector gliding upwards as the steering column drops into position and the dash panels revolve to reveal the cars air vents. Already you get the feeling that you're in something rather special and that is before you even release the (electronic) handbrake. The diesel powerplant is extremely refined - Even when cold it is muted by the well insulated cabin. The centre console has a large touchscreen which displays the cars multimedia stereo system, (with 9 speakers!!) satellite navigation and houses additional climate and audio controls. The leather bound steering wheel houses controls for the cars audio system and cruise control whilst a multi-function computer is controlled at the end of the column stalk. Everything in this car is fully electric including the large leather seats and the steering column. Despite the car having a mammoth amounts of electrical goodies its interior manages to look classy and uncluttered. It's a mix of high-tech and tradition make it the perfect place to unwind and escape the stresses of the outside world. Small touches like these ensure you feel pampered behind the wheel of your Jag.
With huge ABS brakes, ESP stability and traction control the XF is not just a pretty face - it keeps all that power in check and offers superb handling and roadholding which are guaranteed to please the keen driver, as well as those who want comfort and luxury. he 204 bhp Twin turbo diesel which powers the XF is both smooth and effective in its power delivery. Even more impressive than the power output is the 435 n/m of torque which is produced low down in the rev range. The result is at any speed, in any gear, on any incline, there is huge power on tap. Overtaking in the XF is instantaneous - burying the throttle is like being hit from behind by a train and then as the revs rise and the 2nd Turbocharger kicks in the surge of power is relentless all the way to the red line. Our car is fitted with a 6 speed paddle shift transmission so u can select your desired ration from the steering wheel mounted paddles or use either the standard auto or sports mode both of which perform superbly.
It's is not just impressive in a straight line either.. The Jag has a fine handling balance and a sharp rear wheel drive chassis which offer better handling and ride comfort than all of its rivals. It's an entertaining drive which easily lives up to the pedigree of this fantastic marque. With so much power on tap and such an enormous level of comfort the XF is an especially pleasurable companion when you need to cover a lot of ground quickly.
