I'm rolling a music themed character and I sure could use some help deciding which profession/build/spec since we don't really have a bard build /spec (I'm considering Willbender) - his name will be Miles Blueclaw, Charr of course - I'm halfway to the "jazz connoisseur" title, I have some shades skin, I'm gonna get the Echovalds lute back piece and I've got a little gold set aside for an orcestrial weapon or two - halp Mind over meta - your my only hopez!

This may me one of the favorite questions I have ever seen in a comment. For me I think music, I go singer and I grab the Voice of Metal Warhorn skin in Grothmar Valley. Currently my favorite Warhorn spec is Tempest. I couple it with the shouts. So realistically I run Condi Tempest because it can be done even Cheaper than this build and is realistically speaking a real beast and nice and beefy. I go with either dagger or scepter (both are really strong). And use my orchestral skin that way. Voice of Metal: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Voice_of_Metal (Fun fact it has it's own sounds) Condi Tempest kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYTbhIF8j62rrJo The Condi Tempest Gear setup is less than 8g in exotics, but unfortunately there is no Shopping List on the video as it was done a long time ago. But you can play the intro sequence of me buying everything back at low speed or just get the names from the gear section. Send me a message in game if you ever finish it. I would absolutely love to see it.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU There is a DIRE need for more budget builds for new and returning players because most of the stat combos for the "better" builds don't have accessible Rare or Exotic quality gear - particularly in the Trinkets slot. The inclusion of optional upgrades is a fantastic addition that gives us a path of progression and a roadmap for things we can do to improve our build over time. You've done more in the first 5 minutes to help new Guardians out than most build guides ever do.

That was pretty much my "wishlist" for a bargain-builds video. I miss the fashion break, but transmutation charges don't grow on trees (EoD has burned my supplies, certainly.) I have a couple friends who can use just this sort of build for their classes.

All your videos are great. Just trying a Willbender out for the first time, and I'm looking for a tip from those more experienced with the profession than I--they seem very glass cannon, very squishy. Not just champs but even groups of trash seem to me that they'd rip this build down pretty quickly unless the plan is to use mobility to run away a lot. But I'm probably missing something.

@@MindOverMeta This goes with a thought I've been having that may be useful. I'd like to see not so much a blow by blow account for individual bosses but just a nice general tip collection for being in the right combat frame of mind and getting better broad skills in reading tells, survival strategies (aka, Oh SHEYET! buttons), fighting with a balance of dmg out skills along with your sustain in skills so that you don't go too far to the side and tip over/DIE!, etc.

@@gailbrookhart1777 A general "combat tips" guide is something I have been contemplating" for a while. Truthfully though I am not the greatest player and am not the greatest one to be handing out this kind of advice. But it's something I will give a bit more thought to.

@@MindOverMeta I think it would be a useful video. You share information well, and have lots of experience with the game. I think folks are looking for approachable video content for an at times very complex game, and having someone who's played a lot even just narrating their decisions is helpful. You covered quite a lot of newbie stuff in your recent Sylvari Necro series, for instance. I was watching it to see someone with thousands of hours of game time narrating a casual character level-up, and I learned a tonne of stuff, often incidentally. It's probably difficult to determine what to cover in a combat tips video when you've had so long to play, but I'd be interested to see what you'll come up with, if it occurs. It's interesting to watch highlight videos where more experienced players can commentate their skill use and remark on how they adapted if a fight goes south, etc. Just simple colour commentary provides a lot of incidental information on the game that Meta might not even know they're sharing. If I wanted to watch an extreme pro doing twitch-PVP builds for competitive, well those already exist and stress me out, haha.

I went full Carrion, which you can also do cheap with Brutus' & Sheena's armor. You lose out on Toughness - you are Heavy Armor anyway - but you gain in Power. Also for slightly better sustain, since Willbender loses the passive self-healing, I use Signet of Courage.

I'm going to have to check this out. I've been running a condi-dps build that does nice damage but takes so much back I feel like I must be hurting myself at the same time, lol. So this should be nice for offsetting that.

"Don`t hate me, cause I`m beautiful." ... oh, my sense of humor ... that was the moment I subscribed to the channel and activated the bell cheap but effective builds and simple outfits, no "Fashion War", so other players around me might even make fun of me and think "oh, what a poor player who can't afford anything" at first sight, but only until they see me in combat ... that`s exactly what I like just looking good is nothing in the game if the rest doesn`t work, e.g. skills and good knowledge of your own class, your own build, combat and boss mechanics, etc. my girl friend for instance doesn`t care about "meta" or build recommendations here on KZbin, she`s running her own build for away from all these, but she`s killing everything which stands in her way and in events on the maps she`s always "last girl standing" with her Revenant (+ changing elite specs depending on her mood), the only class she`s playing, because she doesn`t like all the other ones after testing them ... also according to the motto, it's better to only be able to do one class correctly under all circumstances than all of them just a little bit, which is much more fun in the long run than you think
