Cheap Rifle Borescope Endoscope

Thanks for making the video. As far as Amazon search is concerned endoscopes are bore scopes. You've illustrated the differences very well. I won't be buying one as all it could show me is whether I've lost my socks in there.

It seems like it would be better if you can see sideways not forward. That way you can inspect the groves and lands for anything.

SuperGoldnut I bought a cheapo Amazon one that has a side view. I wonder if the video maker had the side mirrors because with mine they came in a separate bag that you screw on. It’s really good. I looked at several barrels and see some that I need to clean again.

I'm assuming it would be able to focus at the closest point? Would you think it be better used for tight automotive work or plumbing? Thanks for putting this up.

Well, a true borescope would look at the sides of the barrel, not down the barrel. Not the best explanation here, the endoscope look in front of the end of the scope. the focal depth is one or two inches in front of the lens. Lots of applications and a fun toy, just does not make a good borescope.
