Never going electric, the batterys only last about 2 or 3 seasons and is way to expensive to replace. Gas is the way to go, sure its more maintenance but very worth it.

We are going on year 5 with our battery powered equipment and zero issues so far.

Believe it or not, that screen covering the carb opening is the air filter.

yah with 2 stroke , if it doesn;t run right and cannot adjust, carb, just replace carb. yah I still use 2 stroke weedeater.. I have 2 of them. still going. good job there helping out a neighbor. That machine looks alot like few homelite ones I fixed and sold last year.

Seems like they are all made the same. Which means parts are plenty and tools are the same 🤣🫡

Sounds like it’s still bogging at high throttle, check for a spark arrestor screen.

The reason why it sounds bogged down is because he has too much string coming out the head. The owner of the trimmer and I have discussed this in the Past. He keeps it long to keep edges fresh! Good ears!

I just had a like new echo pb580t in for no prime/no start. Fuel line collapsed…easy peasy. Call and order a new fuel line kit. Still wouldn’t prime. Against my will, I opened up the carb and found pieces of the fuel inside and part of the gasket. Just replaced the carb bs rebuilding it. Never seen that before, but I also don’t open up 2 strike carbs

We use Kobalt 40V at our home for close to 5 years now with no regrets 🤣

By rights that engine should be revving higher than that, is the muffler blocked up?. I once revived an Echo chainsaw, when I eventually got it to run it wouldn't run right, I checked it over and found the spark screen completely blocked, cleaned it off and it ran well after that (the perils of running too much oil).

It doesn’t run as high as it should bc the owner keeps the string on the head LONG so he can have crispy edges. Once the string is trimmed down to propper length, it will sound healthy/normal.
